Description: The Latin will decribe the process for the registration and
activation of Premium features.

Models:
All MOTOTRBO Subscribers, Repeaters, and MTR3000 repeaters.

Detailed Information: Premium features require a “Registration” of the


license for that specific feature and then the “Activation” of the feature in the
subscriber or repeater. This is a two step process.
Please, always use the latest CPS version available on Mol.

Notes:
To register a Premium Feature, the computer has to have access to the
internet.
The Premium features have been released during different system releases
therefore, certain firmware versions are required in the subscribers and
repeaters in order to have the ability to register and activate a specific
feature. Please refer to the MOTOTRBO system release Latin’s for the various
Premium feature releases.

Process:
1. Order and acquire your “Premium Feature” license from the following
list of available licenses:
Note: The licenses marked with asterisks are only compatible with
Connect Plus and Capacity Plus systems. Ensure you have the proper
systems before ordering these licenses.

2. Once the EID has been obtianed, please adhear to the following steps
for registration and activation.
3. Start the latest released CPS version, 6.0 or later. Read the radio.

Note: The follow process uses the example of the “Registration” and
“Activation” of the IP-Site premium feature in a portable radio. The process
for the registration and activation of a premium feature is the same for all
MOTOTRBO subscribers, MOTOTRBO repeaters, and MTR3000 repeaters.

4. Once the CPS codeplug has been read, on the top menu bar, click on
“Features” and then click on “Register Device”. See the following
figure:

Note: Please notice the IP Site Connect premium feature status in the
codeplug is “Available for Purchase”.

5. The “Register Device” screen should appear, click on “Next >”.

6. The “Enter EID” screen should appear. Copy and paste your EID for
the IP Site Connect feature for subscribers, and click on “Next >”. See
the following figure:

Note: The “Next >” button will not become active or available, until an EID
has been placed in the “Enter EID” screen.

7. Once the “Select Feature” menu is displayed, highlight “IP Site


Connect Subscriber”, and then click on “Next >”. See the following
figure:

8. The “Add Serial Numbers” menu should appear. Click on “Read Device”
and the CPS will read the subscriber that is attached to the computer
and display the “Connected Devices” screen. See the following two
figures:

9. Click on “Add” and the following “Add Serial Numbers” menu will
appear.

Note: Notice, the selected devices serial number is displayed on the right
side of the screen. See the following figure:

10. Click on “Register”. Once the registration has been completed,


the “Registration Complete” screen will appear. The CPS has
successfully registered the license. See the following figure:

DO NOT close the CPS application……… Activation is next!

Activation Process:

1. On the top menu bar, click on “Features” and then click on “Activate
Device”. See the following figure:

2. Once selected, the “Activate Device” screen should appear. See the
following figure:

3. Click on “Next >” and the “Connected Devices” menu should appear
indicating the IP address and most importantly, the serial number of
the connected device. See the following figure:

4. Click on “Next >” and the “Select Features” menu should appear.
Highlight the appropriate feature and then click on “Activate”. See the
following figure:

5. Once the feature has been activated in the subscriber, repeater, or


MTR3000, the following “Activation Complete” screen should appear.

6. Click on “Close”. Now close the CPS codeplug being displayed.

7. Once the subscriber, repeater or MTR3000 completes the reset


process, read the connected device again and notice the IP Site
Connect premium feature status changed to “Purchased”. See the
following figure:
