The teacher will play a instrumental music from Visayas and students will sing a long with the music entitled
"Dandansoy"
The teacher will ask the students:
5 minutes * Upon hearing and singing the music, what is the message of the song?
* What is the song trying to convey to the listeners?
*How will you describe the characteristics of their music?

4.2 Activity Activity 2: Video Watching


Let the students watch a short video presentation about culture and geography of Palawan and Visayas at
the same time let them copy some important notes. Short Discussion to be followed about the functions of
10 minutes music to its culture and geography.

4.3 Analysis The teacher will ask the students some question to activate their prior knowledge.
What do you know about the Philippine representative music?
5 minutes How will you describe the characteristics of their music?

4.4 Abstraction Characteristic of representative music from Cordillera, Mindoro, Palawan and of the Visayas in relation to its
culture and geography.
The teacher will ask and process the questions below:
15 minutes * How does music reflect the aspect of their culture?
* What is the relevance of music in their society?

4.5 Application Activity: Sing a Song


Look for a song that has a message of the history or culture of the people in your home town. Tell what is
the mood of the song. Sing it with pride and joy.

20 = All of the members impressively with clear voice and constant eye contact with the audience. Some
