Negatives of Artificial Intelligence on Business 2
offering both drawbacks and benefits to business. When considering how artificial
intelligence can be a risk, two scenarios mostly come up among them the idea that artificial
autonomous weapons are programmed to kill, causing mass casualties can easily occur when
they are in the hands of the wrong people (Tegmark 2016). Additionally, the creation,
maintenance, and repair of artificial intelligence may require high costs due to the complexity
of the machines. In the recent times, there have been increased cases of cyber-attacks where
adversaries and criminals keep on attacking computers with malware and virus (Faggella).
The same way, artificial intelligence algorithms are similar to other software when it comes to
the exposure to cyber-attack. For example, when the artificial intelligence are used in
controlling robots used to perform different tasks in businesses, the impact of a successful
cyber-attack on such system can be very devastating especially since the artificial intelligence
algorithms are being asked to make high-stakes decisions (Faggella 2016). One cannot ignore
the power of these robots in case they are compromised and the danger they may cause to the
human race bearing the increased trust that most businesses tend to attach to them (Tegmark
2016). As humans all over the wild continue to compete whether, in businesses, some parties
may find the use of backdoor tactics as the best methods of winning thus increasingly forming
