FAITH FOR CHANGING LEVELS

Scripture: Act 1:8
But ye shall receive POWER, after that the HOLY GHOST in come upon you:
and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, in
Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
If you are here and the spirit of God is come upon you in other words if you have
been filled with the holy spirit then according to the scripture above you have
received power, that’s miracle working power or ability. Therefore there is such
great power received by spirit filled believers.
No wonder Paul, writing to the Ephesus did not pray that God should give them
power but he prayed that the eye of their understanding should be enlightened to
know the exceeding greatness of his power to us who believe “the eye of your
understanding being enlightened; that ye may know…what is the exceeding
greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his
mighty power.” Ephesians 1:18-19. As believers filled with the spirit we should
know without doubt that GOD has anointed as with the Holy Ghost and with
power.
If this is well understood then why many spirit filled believers moving from place
to place seeking for power to do greater works? There is nowhere in the scripture
where believers prayed for extra power after the Holy Ghost is come upon them.
So you see, is not power you are lacking but what you are lacking is FAITH. Great
faith is what you need not an extra power. Great FAITH does great WORKS. It
through faith that we have access to the grace of God “By whom also we have
access by faith into this grace…”Romans 5:2. What gives us access to the power
of God? It is not working hard, living a good life, praying long hours or fasting. It
is only by FAITH.
The scripture says “for we walk by faith, not by sight” 2 Corinthians 5:7. What
then is faith? The scripture gives us a definite definition of the word faith. Hebrews
11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not
seen”.
The amplified version says, “Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the
title deed) of the things we hope for, being the proof of things we do not see and
the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not real to the
senses]. To my understanding of this scripture faith is becoming aware,
persuaded and embracing and confessing (speaking and acting) spiritual
realities. Faith has an eye that sees beyond the natural into the supernatural and
operates the supernatural as in the natural; it is a spiritual sight and a spiritual walk,
a walk that is beyond the natural. By faith Enoch walked with God, though God is
invisible but through the eye of faith Enoch saw the invisible God and through the
walk of faith walked with the invisible God.
“True faith is not an ambiguous confidence in ourselves it is the RESULT of a
living relationship with God who loves us, has called us and will empower us to
do all he created us to do” RICK JOYNER.
Note: faith does not eradicate patience. Faith not combined with patience will
keep us in perpetual and unnecessary danger.

HOW FAITH DOES COMES

The scripture says “so then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of
God” Romans 10:17. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God and
not the words of men. Some people are filled with wisdom of men and walk by the
wisdom of men. But faith comes by hearing the word of God. The scripture says
the world by wisdom knew not God.
Apostle said in the book of Romans “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of
Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believeth; to the
Jew first, and also to the Greek. For there in is the righteousness of God revealed
from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith Romans 1:16-17.
Faith comes to them who hear the gospel.
In the book of Acts there was a man who received faith and was healed through the
preaching of Paul the Apostle. “And there they preached the gospel. And there
sat a certain man impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb,
who never had walked: the same heard Paul speak: who steadfastly beholding
him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, stand
upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.” Act 14:7-10. Paul the apostle
preached the gospel the man who was crippled heard the word that was preached,
he received faith to be healed from hearing the word that was preached by Paul and
Paul commanded him to stand on his feet and he leaped and walked. The gospel
was preached, he heard and faith came. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the
word of God.

FAITH BOOSTERS
1. Knowing and understanding the lord is his glory; many believers still
can only perceive the lord in his earthly ministry. The lord came as a lamb.
He was led as a sheep to the slaughter but he opened not his mouth. “He
was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he openeth not his mouth: he is
brought as a lamb to the slaughter and as a sheep before her shearer is
dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.” Isaiah 53:7. Now you have to look
at the lord in his glory not in his flesh. He is now the lion of the tribe of
Judah; he has been lifted above all principalities, and power, and might,
and dominion and every name that is named. “which he wrought in
Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right
hand in the heavenly places, far above all principalities, and power, and
might, and dominion, and every name that is named not only is this
world but also in that which is to come” Ephesians 1:20-21.Wherefore,
God also has exalted him and given him a name that is above every
name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in
heaven, and things in earth and things under the earth;” Philippians
2:9-10. The lord said ‘All power is given unto me, in heaven and in earth’
He is the embodiment of the power of God. If we can comprehend this
then we can put our trust in Him, ultimate faith is revealed by ultimate
trust. Because He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we
ask or think according to the power that work in us, Ephesians 3:20.
2. Knowing and understanding who you are in Christ Jesus in the light
of God’s word; we are sons and daughters of God and nothing less in
Christ Jesus, therefore the scripture says he is not ashamed to call us
brethren. “They know not neither will they understand; they walk on in
darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course I have said
ye are god’s, and all of you the children of the most high….”psalm 82:5.
We are the children of God and therefore we are born with the very nature
of God. You have the DNA of God in you, you are made righteous, you
are blood bought, blood washed and you are being lifted with Christ and
made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. “And he has
 raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in
Christ Jesus:”Ephesians 2:6. That is who you are in Christ Jesus.
3. Knowing and understanding LOVE. Love feeds faith, without love faith
cannot be in operation. “…but faith which worketh by love” Galatians
5:6. The word worketh in the above verse is from the Greek word
energeho which means effectual or fervent. So for faith to be very
effectual you must operate by love. Fear is negative faith and the scripture
says perfect love cast out fear. “There is no fear in love; but perfect love
casteth out fear:…” 1 john 4:18.
4. Praying in the Holy Ghost; praying in the Holy Ghost charges your faith,
it builds up your faith and also makes you to progress in the spirit. “But ye
beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the
Holy Ghost” Jude 1:20. Praying in the Holy Ghost or praying in the spirit
edify you, it improves your faith and make you soar higher in the spirit.
He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that
prophesieth edifieth the church. 1 Corinthians 14:4.
Let appropriate faith because great faith does great works, little faith does little
work. The greater your faith the greater your work will be.
