Subject: Breaching trust, violating the Recognition of Zoo Rules, 2009 read with 409 IPC, recalling recognition
under section 38-H of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972: Threat to captive wild animal in Zoo premises.
Greetings,
Kindly refer to the section 3 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 read with section 39 of the Wildlife
Protection Act, 1972, whereas Rajkot Zoological Park, run & managed by Municipal Corporation, have no legal
rights to capture scheduled wild animal, besides it keeping in their unlawful custody for a long time without any
reason, besides it one captive animal was hunted by a wild Leopard, due to gross negligence on management.

Breaching trust, violating the Recognition of Zoo Rules, 2009 read with 409, 428, 429 IPC, recalling recognition
under section 38-H of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, restoring 5 freedoms of captured wild animals, releasing
in the natural habitat, at once.
