A. Impact of the Processes of the Hydrologic Cycle
CONCEPT:
If there is an increase or decrease in the magnitude or quantity of any of the
processes in the hydrologic cycle, like evaporation, is there an effect on human life?
Does it affect the environment, in what way? Will it dictate any policies or
infrastructure along progress and development?

RREQUIREMENT:
Construct an impact matrix for the changes in the rate of the various elements
involved in the water cycle along three areas namely (a) human life, (b) environment
and (c) progress and development of the country.

IMPACT MATRIX

Process Increase in Rate Decrease in Rate

a) People will always feel
thirsty.
Evaporation b) Crops on field will be in Evaporation of water can give a
need of frequent supply of cooling effect on the atmosphere
water. especially evaporation from trees
and bodies of water

a) People will always feel
fresh because there is the
presence of moisture in
their body due to its effect.

B. Effect of Progress and Development to the Hydrologic Cycle Processes
CONCEPT:
What effects has progress and development done to each of the various water cycle
elements? Has the construction of storage facilities like dams facilitated the process
of evaporation? Have scientific studies on cloud seeding helped precipitation? Will
the continuous mushrooming of buildings reduce runoff?

REQUIREMENT:
Construct an effect matrix to map in detailed form how the various hydrologic cycle
elements have been affected by the various segments of progress and development.
