Who We Are
The Athletic Development Center (ADC) is responsible in the promotion, development,
and implementation of sports program of the University of Makati by providing
administrative directions in all its intercollegiate athletic activities which includes
recruitment, training, competitions, and holistic formation of student-athletes.
Vision & Mission
VISION: To build champion student-athletes beyond the competition.
Mission: To realize the vision, ADC will develop a structured and organized program that
will make University of Makati as the leading local educational institution in sports while
enabling its student-athletes reach their full potential and prepare them for lifelong
success within an athletic organization that promotes well-rounded education through
planned sport and competition developing their skills, discipline, integrity, leadership,
humility, and social responsibility thus, making the athletic program a lasting source of
pride for the University and the City of Makati.

experience of student-athletes and the entire campus community.
3. We believe in offering opportunities in athletics participation consistent with the
institutional mission and philosophy.

5. We believe in striving for equitable participation and competitive excellence,
encouraging sportsmanship and ethical conduct, enhancing diversity and developing
positive societal attitudes in all athletic endeavors.
Services
Functions and Services
a. To provide an opportunity for athletes to fully develop their athletic potential
b. To recruit competitive athletes that will form part of the different sporting events
c. To provide administrative direction and oversee all intercollegiate athletic programs
and activities of the university
d. To supervise all coaches and athletic staff including shared responsibility for hiring,
disciplining and full responsibility for their training, mentoring, and performance
evaluation

PAMANTASAN NG LUNGSOD NG MAYNILA

The PLM community regularly organizes inter-university invitational games and dual
meets in major sporting events, participates in the Manila Youth Games and Manila
Marathon, and conducts its very own Student Intramural Games that is usually
participated in by the college teams.
The University is a member of ALCUlympics, a sports organization composed of 18 local
colleges and universities nationwide. Volleyball, basketball, table tennis, taekwondo,
arnis, and track & field are among the featured sports in the said competition.
Due to the high cost of membership for the University Athletic Association of the
Philippines (UAAP), joining said league has never been a priority of the PLM
administration.
