HOST: “Unity in Diversity. Pagkaurusa ngan Pagkatitirok.”
Samar is blossoming as the alumni homecoming capital of the
Philippines and this year we are blessed with TomorrowLand
Samar: Best of Our Years Theme led by Host Class 1993 with
the presence of Jubilarians from varied parts of the country and
the world. May I have the privilege to usher in – the jubilarians.

SEGMENT 4 - Welcome Remarks


HOST: The grand alumni homecoming celebration
paves avenues for unity and friendship – reminiscent
of the times when life was simpler and filled with the
seemingly bedazzling scheme of never-ending
happiness.

It ushers the recollection of memories – an


opportune time to associate an old familiar face with
that same youthful glow we once grew accustomed
to.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 2019 2019

HOST: Let us all rise for the blessing of the food
which we are about to partake.

“Lord make us an avenue for your greater glory.


Bless the food which we share in the abundance of
Your love”. All these we ask through Christ our Lord,
Amen.

MID-DINNER
SEGMENT 5 – TOAST OF FRIENDSHIP & GOOD CHEER
HOST: Friendship evolves during elementary years
and flourishes throughout High School Life to the
back-breaking College Days. Such examples exist
even here in the humble City of Catbalogan: Home
to the premiere university in Samar Province –
Samar State University.

It is with honor and privilege that we invite the


presidents or the representatives of the Jubilarians
to come onstage for the ceremonial toast. Kindly fill
your glasses with beverage and proceed to the
stage.

The presence of these dashing ladies and gentlemen
is testament to the blossoming of a dignified
institution which continually reaches out to the
many tenets of society.

May we request the President of Host Class 1993,


Engr. Chito C. Quitalig to do the honor of sharing a
Ceremonial Toast of Friendship & Good Cheer.

CHITO: May I request everyone to fill your glasses
with wine and rise so we may share a toast to the
everlasting legacy of the STS/SSAT/SSPC/SSU
GRAND ALUMNI HOMECOMING.
We will also be sharing a toast to those who have
shared a moment or two in the sunny side of
friendship and of love.

Kindly face the person next to you, in-front of you or


at your back, and say “Salamat! Salamat nga
nagkaurusa utro kita hini nga mga takna!”

Better yet, you may “Share-A-Hug” or “Tap-A-


Shoulder” and Say “It’s good to be with you again!
See you in the years to come”
(Pause for 2Minutes, Give audience time to create small talk)
Now fill your glasses and let us toast for a good
journey through life. Kindly repeat after me –
“Cheers to Friendship! Cheers to Unity! Cheers to
our dear Alma Mater! & Cheers to Samar State
University!”

HOST: A model not only to the community he/she
continues to serve and President to the noble class
of 1969, kindly share a warm round of applause for
the Golden Jubilarian Class of 1969 with Dr.

SEGMENT 7 – RUBY JUBILARIANS TESTIMONIAL
HOST: The province of Samar with Samar State
University has come a long way at achieving what it
has accomplished today.

Among its glorious pedestals is the birth of leaders


in the fields of academic excellence and global
competitiveness – the great institution that has
produced some of the best and brightest citizens of
our great nation.

SEGMENT 8 – TRIBUTE TO MENTORS
HOST: The school is an emblem of academic
excellence where quality education becomes an
arena for growth and development. Our existence is
a product of days and years of collective experience
- what we are today reflects the goodness of our
past.

We proceed with this evening’s celebration in great


reverence and gratitude to our dear mentors – the
great teachers of the then Samar Polytechnic
College (SSPC) (Now SSU) with whom we are
honored to have shared time with us and helped
mold us into the kind of people we are today. Please
welcome our mentors with a resounding round of
applause as they are introduced by no other than
Host Class 1994 Treasurer Ninna Alma Babalcon
Romano with Gemma Gabani-Badenas.

TRIBUTE TO MENTORS
NINNA: Years have passed and it still feels like
yesterday! It’s great to be back with all of you here
again my dear classmates, friends & colleagues.
Here in the halls of our dear Alma Mater.

GEMMA: I can still remember how we used to


trudge along the hallways of our dear school and
study like there’s no tomorrow!

aton mga kalugaringon tungod kay guintagan ta hin
panahon an kada tagsa nga magkaurusa utro hini
nga mga takna.

HOST: The steps we take in the most precious
journey of all are but fitting tributes to the vitality of
togetherness – an aspect to life expressed through
the art of dance. A dance in honor of happiness and
good cheer.

HOST: Rhythm in the art of dance bring about
character in a world of individuality. A world most
endearing and even made fresh by our recollections
of High School life – indeed the best years of our
