FETO 2.0 is a seminar held by the BEM KM FET. FETO 2.0 is the Engineering and

Technology 2.0 Festival which this year carries the concept of Renewable Energy. FETO 2.0

collaborates in terms of sponsorship with INDODAX and CV Grace Jaya. This time there

would be three speakers who have expertise in the energy field, who are Lukman Adi Pranoto,

ST, M. Eng, Vice President Corporate Funding and Development, PT. PP Energi, Dr. Eng Bayu

Prabowo, Renewable Energy Development Research Speacialist PT Pertamina Persero, and

Dr. Eng. Topan Setiadipura, Chief Engineer and Researcher, BATAN. This seminar will be

moderated by Dr. Eng Farid Triawan. He is a lecture who teach mechanincal engineering in

Sampoerna University.

The first seminar material was delivered by Dr. Eng Bayu Prabowo regarding

Replanting of Nation's Dignity. He began the seminar material by explaining the history of gas

oil in Indonesia. The government has initiated the distribution of fuel since 1945. It used to be

called not Pertamina but PT MNRI, then with many considerations and improvements from

time to time, finally in 1971 the name PT MNRI changed to PT. Pertamina.

Mr. Bayu also explained the vision and mission of PT Pertamina. This was clearly

reflected in his vision to become a world-class energy company. With its mission to carry out

integrated core business in oil, gas, renewable and new energy based on strong commercial

principles. To carry out the mission, PT Pertamina has eight priorities currently being held in

its company, namely HSSE & Sustainability, Human Capital Development, Upstream Growth,

Gas Growth, Strengthening Refining & Petrochemical Business, New and Renewable Energy

Development, Infrastructure & Marketing Development, and Company Growth. These things

are also supported by Pertamina's six core values, namely Clean, Competitive, Confident,

Customer Focus, Commercial, Capable.

At present Pertamina is focusing on the mission ordered by the Indonesian president

regarding one-price fuel oil. Mr. Bayu explained a number of obstacles and challenges being

experienced by PT Pertamina in distributing oil fuels to remote areas. In fact until now the

price of oil in remote areas is still in the price range of 7 thousand to 50 thousand rupees per

liter.

The obstacle experienced by PT Pertamina is that there are still areas where there are

no official institutions that can be used to distribute fuel oil in remote areas. In addition,

infrastructure such as roads is inadequate for the distribution of fuel. This will be a big obstacle

in the logistics section. In addition, the reason PT Pertamina still does not want to build a

distributor in the area because the level of demand is still small and will be considered

ineffective if it is built.

However these things will try to be addressed for good in the future. The first step,

Pertamina will try to evaluate the planning of the distribution of distributors in the remote

villages. This will continue to development in real terms. This can also be supplied by airways.

The second step, Pertamina strives to increase storage capacity. It is intended that the

distribution occurs efficiently. The third step is coordination with the government regarding

the construction of land infrastructure and marine infrastructure.

Pertamina is also developing renewable energy, biofuel. Biofuels that are being

developed have three generations of development. The first generation is using edible sources,

namely vco, cpo, corn syrup, cassava, sugar, molasses, etc). In this first generation there are

three processes, namely Direct Blending, Co-Processing, and Hydrolysis mixed processes. The

second generation of biofuel uses non-edible resource coconut shell, Palm EFB, corn cob,

bagasse. The process carried out in this second generation is the process of mixed process and

delignification hydrolysis mixed process. The third generation includes non-conventional

resources e.g algae, tail gas, etc. In the conversion process is to use Cultivation mixed process

and Gas Fermentation.

The second session was delivered by Mr. Lukman Adi Pranoto, Vice President of

Corporate Funding and Development PT. PP Energi. He explained a friend about Crative

Planning and Financing for Sustainable Renewable Energy. He will explain what steps PT. PP

Energy has taken in developing renewable energy in Indonesia.

Why Indonesian ought to contribute in foundation and in these days? One of the

reasons is based on the BAPPENAS, Worldwide Competitiveness Report 2017-

2018, framework stock in Indonesia or Indonesia GDP is as it were 43% and it is less

than normal worldwide standard foundation. In 2015, Indonesia GDP was 49% at that point it

was diminished until 39% and in 2019 it is as of now expanding for 8% which presently GDP

in Indonesia is 43%. In any case, it is still need of 27% to urge the normal worldwide standard

of GDP. Here is the chart that showing the comparison of global infrastructure ratios:

Comparision of Global Infrastructure Ratios

South Africa 87%
Italy 82%
Poland 80%
China 76%
Spain 73%
Germany 71%
United States 64%
India 58%
United Kingdom 57%
Indonesia 43%

0% 20% 40% 60% 80% 100%

It tells us that Indonesia still left behind from them. So we should start investing for

now in our infrastructure. In addition to the high probability of profit for 27 percent, we are

also helping Indonesia's GDP. It is divided into 2 ownership based on the funding infrastructure

commitment in 2015-2019. The first is a government with a budget of 148.2 billion dollars or

around 41.3 %. The rest is a non-governmental budget divided into two parts, stated owned

undertakings and private involvement. It has a budget of USD 79.8 billion or about 22.2 percent

for the stated owned enterprises and a budget of USD 131.1 billion or about 36.5 percent for

private participation.

As a majority in the outer area, the costly energy costs for diesel genset. Most of the

problem is that Indonesia needs a better structure of tariffs. Then a better cos efficiency is

needed for some of those. Bangka Belitung, Nusa Tenggara Barat, Papua, Kalimantan Barat,

Maluku, and Nusa Tenggara Timur generated mostly with diesel. These places still need a

better tariff structure, and a better cost efficiency is also needed.

PT. PP Energy wants to propose a community-based biomass plant, the first step being

the local village providing biomass for the power plant and part of the power plant's owner.

The source of biomass feedstock, power plant, and distribution network will then be developed

and built by private developers. The last, PLN will give guarantees to offtakers and distribute

subsidies from the government to local communities. The price the tariff is subsidized. Then

there will be a take-off or pay contract between private development and PLN. Fixed price is

the result that comes to the local privilege.

Analysis of price comparison based on plant type is shown in the table below;

Type of Plant BPP (cUSD/kWh) The savings for PLN/ Community

(in case for 2.2 MW) year empowerment
(in case for 2.2 MW)
Diesel 22.67 - Passive
Hybrid 21.06 Rp. 3.64 Million Passive
(diesel+PLTS) which decreasing 7.07% Cost Saving $360,000
Biomasa 15.01 Rp. 16.2 M Active
Which decreasing 33.y% Cost Saving $5 Million
from diesel

Mr. Toppan from BATAN explained the third seminar. He was discussing the current

overall status of the atomic reactor. There are at present 450 atomic reactors working with an

absolute net introduced limit of 393,828 megawatts. There are 55 atomic power reactors under

development with an all out net introduced limit of 57,195 megawatts in another information.

Likewise, the activity is 17,545 reactor-years. From these information, almost Europe-West,

America-North, and Asia-Far East achieves 120 reactor working numbers. They're still under

nuclear development.

Other than that, there are still under 80 numbers. For the most part individuals talk about

atomic, what's a mishap, what's the most recent improvement. Here is the outline appearing

2010-2018 atomic pattern. Atomic, other than that, was the national establishing father's vision

of Ir. Soekarno, you know. He stated, "In Indonesia's future, to turn into an extraordinary

country, the atomic and space must be controlled. Go NewClear is a decent alternative to

accomplish Indonesia's national vitality security from the information exhibited by Mr. Topan.

At that point Go NewClear will be the last choice because of some understanding. NewClear

Technology, be that as it may, is now prepared to be utilized by bringing in from abroad

existing innovation. What's more, this development (New Clear Technology made by

Indonesia) is being set up for authorizing.
