LENT This period of 40 days is an essential part of our spiritual preparation and development. It
is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on where exactly we are in life and in what direction (if any)
we are travelling. We may also consider our relationship with God and with each other. In other
words,- this time is a chance to see what is wrong and make the much needed changes.
REMEMBER – If we go on doing what we’ve always done, we are going to keep on getting what
we’ve always got.
CAR PARK We are hoping in the next few weeks to resurface the car park. This will inevitably
mean closure for probably a week, to allow to be undertaken and for the new surface to settle. I
will advise details shortly and offer apologies for any inconvenience which this temporary situation
may cause.

Bell of Iona Community. Please register jandp@dioceseofleeds.org.uk

Creativity is a way of living that is open to us all, because it arises from the spirit within us. This is
one of the best-kept secrets in the Western world. In fact, we have been taught the opposite: that
creativity is only for the elitist few.
Of course there are in every generation some very specially talented artists, whose work brings
great pleasure and joy. But if we put these great artists on a pedestal, to the exclusion of
everyone else, we can kill off the creative gifts in the rest of us. And if we do that, we destroy our
vitality as a people.
Not every artist is a special kind of person but every person is a special kind of artist.
