Pastor’s Notes
Today is the last day of
November and Christmas is
only 26 days away….
WHERE HAS ALL THE TIME GONE?
Time seems to be moving faster and faster.
Is it just me or do you feel the same way?
That’s all the more reason to make sure that
we are doing all we can do to keep
ourselves right with the Lord and do all we can to carry out His Great Commission. If
there ever is a time that we need to be “confrontational” with people it is now! Don’t
miss understand me. I’m not saying to be belligerent or bothersome. By
“confrontational” I mean confront them as to whether they know the Lord. Twice on
Sunday I had conversations with people about Jesus. One was to a man who knows about
church but just hasn’t been in a LONG time. I talked to him about the importance of
being ready when the Lord calls us home and that church is good, but church won’t save
you. It is a relationship with Jesus that is important and that relationship makes me love
church! I talked to a Chinese woman who said she didn’t know what she believed. Her
family believes in Jesus but her husband’s family is Buddhist. I told her Jesus is the right
one! If Buddha is still in the grave and Jesus rose from the dead, who would you want to
be your God? I want a LIVING GOD!!!!!!! The greatest revival will be a revival of
God’s people getting turned on to SOUL WINNING! Just tell people what the Lord has
done for you and how important He is to you. Is He important to you? Has He done
anything for you? THEN TELL YOUR STORY!!!!!!!

What a GREAT job ACTS Student Ministries did

Sunday Night! I want to commend Pastor Jason and all
his staff of workers who so faithfully minister to our
young people. Special thanks to Beth Arnold who wrote
and directed the first drama. POWERFUL!!!!!! The
music was great….what a blessing to have other
musicians who can play and lead. The message brought
by Pastor Jason was timely and anointed. I’ve been
singing that song since Sunday night….”Revival fire falling down, falling down, falling
down. Revival fire falling down, IN THIS PLACE”. I hope that is your prayer, your
desire and your EXPECTATION!!!!!!

Please don’t forget that we pray on Monday nights. I know that there
are other things to do on Monday, but is there anything more important
to do? We all have times where we can’t attend due to circumstances,
but we must press through in prayer. Prayer is the power supply with God. Please, put it
on your calendar….INTERCESSORY PRAYER….ever Monday night at 7:00 PM.

We are about to enter into a busy time of year. With

all the Class parties, Ministry parties, work parties,
etc… please don’t forget to keep the focus in the right
place. JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE
SEASON. Please don’t forget the activities here as
well. Our Music Department as worked hard at
building the sets and preparing for our annual
Christmas Production “HIS STORY”. The dates for
that is Dec. 11 at 7:00 PM and Dec. 12th at 6:00 PM.
There is no ticket needed, so tell everyone to come on. There will be a poster as part of
this bulletin so if you want to print it out and make copies, feel free to help us spread the
word. There is also an “EVENT” page on face book that you can “LIKE” and “SHARE”
This also helps us get the word out. IT’S GOING TO BE GREAT.

Our EXTREME KIDS Children’s Ministry will be in

charge of the program on Sunday morning, Dec. 19th at
10:30. They have two wonderful programs lined up
for us and you can’t afford to miss them. They have
worked extremely hard and want to share the
Christmas message to us from their perspective.
Check out the flyers hung on the doors throughout the
building. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Many of you are volunteering to help us at the Soup Kitchen on December 21st …….
WONDERFUL!!!! I think it will be great to show them that our church cares for them,
especially during this Christmas Season. As we get closer, I’ll ask you again to remind
me that you are coming so we can better have a “game plan” for that service. Thanks for
you interest in helping others!

Candlelight service on Wednesday, Dec. 22nd. There will be no classes, no vans running
and no Kidz Kafe. We want everyone to be in the service for a time of reflection and
worship. Please… this is not a service off, so I look for all the ones to join us who aren’t
normally in the sanctuary on Wednesday night.

All during the Month of December, I will

be bringing messages from the theme of
“NO VACANCY”. We learned Sunday
morning that many HOMES have No
Vacancy signs hanging on their doors.
Relationships inside the home are
suffering because of it. Husbands don’t
love their wives like Christ loves the
church. Wives don’t yield and submit like they submit to Christ. Children don’t honor
and obey parents. Why? There are NO VACANCIES signs hanging outside their homes
door. It’s time to remove the signs and allow Jesus to sit at the right place of authority in
our homes. What a beautiful site it was Sunday morning to see so many families coming
around the altar, joining hands or arms in a display of telling the Lord they desired Him to
be in the place of authority in their homes and if they had any NO VACANCY signs, they
wanted them removed and destroyed. When the family becomes stronger, the CHURCH
BECOMES STRONGER!!!!

We’ve already begun receiving calls wanting our assistance with helping purchasing
Christmas for children. As I mentioned last week, the calls for assistance come from
outside the church and sometimes inside the church. We want to insure that children
have a good Christmas. Many times, people inside the church wish to sponsor a child or
adopt a child/family. That would be GREATLY appreciated. If you would be willing to
do so, would you please call the church office and speak to Sis. Faye Arnold or you can
check the bulletin board that is located as you go towards the bathroom. We place some
information there for you to pick up (we do need to know should you pick that up so we
know that is taken care of). There are times when people donate money for this and we
need people to be willing to shop and make the purchases. As you can see, WE NEED
YOU!

IF YOU WISH TO HAVE YOUR BABY PARTICIPATE in the Baby Parade on

Sunday, December 19th, please contact Jollene Priester as soon as possible.

THAT FIRST CHRISTMAS, if you were God,
And that was your Son on that stable sod,
Wrapped for death with its sin-cursed sting,
Would you have made the angels sing?

Would you have sent a lovely star

To guide the wise men from afar
While weaklings did what haters bid?
OUR HEAVENLY FATHER DID !

ON THAT CALVARY ROAD, if you were God

And that was your Son ‘neath the scourging rod
Bearing pain and bitter loss
Would you have nailed Him to the Cross?

Would you have let Him siffer so

That sinners might salvation know
While this He did their sins to rid?
OUR HEAVENLY FATHER DID !
