Assignment task
This assessment comprises one 500 word, (+/-10%) individual paper that will contribute towards your final
portfolio of 2 papers* and represents 30% of the marks available for this module.

(*Note that CW2 will require you to complete 1 further paper for 70% of the module marks).

This assignment has been designed to provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your
achievement of the following module learning outcomes:

LO 1 Obtain and interpret information relevant to an analysis of a firm's business environment.

LO 2 Assess the impact of government on the structure and operation of a business organisation.

LO 3 Demonstrate an understanding of the impact of changes in the business environment on


business organisation and activity.

Task requirements

You are to select a UK company** and conduct a PESTEL analysis on the firms operating environment and
identify the key drivers of change that the management should be taking notice of in their deliberations for the
future direction of the firm.

All models, theories and supporting secondary research material must be referenced using the Harvard
format.

** Please ensure you check that your chosen UK company is suitable with your lecturer before starting your
coursework.

This assignment should be submitted electronically. Please use the relevant Turnitin submission point in the
Submit your work area in your Blackboard module shell.

Please ensure that your work has been saved in an appropriate file format. Turnitin will only accept the
