FRANCISCO ORINGO SR. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

NARRATIVE REPORT
ON BRIGADA ESKWELA 2019

The school is where learners are molded to become a responsible individual in the
society. Learners are crafted into a better person, who will be an emblem of the kind of
learning place where one was raised and shaped. School will be a better place to live and to
learn if it is conducive and comfortable place for the learners to relax and develop one’s
potential.
The Department of Education Memorandum No. 036, s. 2019 otherwise known as
National Schools Maintenance Week or commonly called as 2019 Brigada Eskwela aims to
prepare the school with the help of the stakeholders, private and public individuals, volunteers,
parents and other institutions in collaboration with administrators and teachers to accomplish
the designed tasks and objectives. This was conducted last May 20 – May 25, 2019 with a
theme, “Matatag na Bayan para sa Maunlad na Paaralan”.
This initiative of DepEd is to have a spirit of volunteerism or “bayanihan” in every
school. Cleaning up and repairing the school and its facilities before the opening of classes
are some of the best activities that Francisco Oringo Sr. Elementary School done every year.
Furthermore, school community interdependence is unbreakable. Community cannot
stand without the school, and likewise the school without the community, all the people in the
community even those whose children are not studying in the school share a part of
themselves, give a hard work and volunteer themselves to support the program.
Thus, the school personnel are very much grateful to the primary stakeholders (the
students and the parents in school), Local Government Unit of GSC (LGU), members of the
Barangay Council, officers of Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP), Alumni of the school,
Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) and all the volunteers that armed with brooms, paints,
brushes and other construction materials in the school. Without them, the following would not
have been made possible:
 Pruning/trimming of trees around the school
 Construction of Water Reservoir
 Making of Signage
 Renovation of School Covered Court
 Construction of School Ground Landscape
 Renovation of Flagpole Stage
 Repairing and repainting of dilapidated chairs, doors and windows, ceiling and walls of
the classrooms
 Cleaning of the school ground
 Cleaning of the classrooms and office
 Installation and repairing of electrical wires and lightings
 Installation of donated LED and Smart Televisions
 Installation of tiles, applying of coconut meat and wax on the floor
 Making of bookshelves, pupils’ tables and pulpit/rostrum for teachers

The success of the Brigada Eskwela is a proof of the commitment of our stakeholders
to improve the learning environment of the school because even the learners of Francisco
Oringo Sr Elementary School manifested a new vision, a new task to complete and done as
they come to school early during the activity.
The principal and teaching staff of Francisco Oringo Sr. Elementary School view this
as a fresh start to work double to improve the key performance indicators of the school.
