342 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. The
Father who dwells in me is doing His works. (John 14:10) “I once read that
pride was near the top of the list as far as sin in concerned. Pride is a severely
inflated ego; we feel quite at home assuming that we are in control of our lives
and that we are capable of figuring out all things. Then we fall on our faces.
In that fall comes life’s most important lesson: God is within us accomplishing His
will. Pride indeed comes before a fall, but when we rise, we do so with God’s help. Let
us ask that He be there when we fall again” (Fr. James Stephen Behrens, O.C.S.O.) Call
Joie 330-745-6852 today for your hour of thanksgiving.

Second Sunday Lent

God wants to bless our families. Are we too busy and stressed to notice and accept
these blessings? God is present, waiting to meet and bless us in our families, but
needs our time and attention. We need to take time together as families to have fun,
to talk, to work together, to eat and pray. Schedule some “family times” in the
calendar and see Jesus in the transfiguration of your family members and
relationships.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 136th Black and Indian Mission
Collection last weekend. Your prayerful support enables people to come to know
Jesus Christ in African American, Native American, and Alaska Native communities all
over the U.S.A. Spreading the Gospel couldn’t happen without your support.

Pastors Pick of the Week: “St. Patrick: Pilgrimage to Peace”

St. Patrick may be the most popular, yet least-known, figure in Christian history. Each
year revelers hold parties and parades to celebrate his day, yet the average person likely has no
idea who Patrick of Ireland truly was. St. Patrick: Pilgrimage to Peace unearths the true story
of this fifth-century Christian who was brought to Ireland as a slave, where he labored six long
years before finally escaping. But after returning home, Patrick shocked his contemporaries by
voluntarily returning to the place of his enslavement in order to bring the gospel message to the
Irish people. Go beyond the legends and clichés to discover the real St. Patrick, a man whose
life continues to call us to the peace of Christ.
Christ’s Peace!
Fr. David Majikas

As we journey through the Lenten Season, one of the most profound teachings on the Culture of Life is
captured in the Eighth Station of The Way of the Cross, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me;
weep instead for yourselves and for your children, for indeed, the days are coming when people will say,
'Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed.'...for if these
things are done when the wood is green what will happen when it is dry?" Luke 23:28-31 NOW is the
time to get involved! Pray, Fast, Educate yourself and others, be an Apostle for Life. For more
information on the many ways YOU can participate contact Lynn Willig@(330)658-2642.
