Topic/ Title Gas Law (Kinetic Molecular Theory)

Learning 1. The learners should be able to investigate the relationship between volume
Competency and pressure at constant temperature of a gas.
2. The learners should be able to investigate the relationship between volume
and temperature at constant pressure of gas.
3. The learners should be able to explain these relationships using kinetic
molecular theory.
Objectives
By the end of the lesson the students will be able to:
1. State the postulates of Kinetic Molecular Theory
2. Use this theory’s postulates to explain Gas laws
3. Relate this theory’s postulates in daily life situations.
ELICIT Tools/ Materials
The student will be randomly given a picture showing the Pictures of molecules in
movement of the molecules in different states of matter. The different states.
student will share his/her insights regarding the picture to the class.
After the given moment, the teacher will discuss brief information
about the picture to avoid misconception and to give a taste of the
upcoming lesson.

ENGAGE Tools/ Materials


The teacher will introduce the title of the lesson. The student will Power Point Display
be randomly called to read the postulates of kinetic molecular
theory and the teacher will explain each postulate briefly. After
that, the student will be given an opportunity to give examples
based on the given postulates from real life situations.
EXPLORE Tools/ Materials
The students will watch videos showing different experiments on Power Point D---isplay
Gas Laws. The student will have an observation based on the
different experiments performed in the video.
Explain Tools/ Materials
The teacher will group the class in to two for brainstorming in their Answer Sheets
observations from the video and will ask the student randomly to
explain their observation on the experiment shown in the video.

Elaborate
The teacher will discuss more further on their observation of the Power Point Display
experiments. The students will also be given the opportunity to ask
questions to clarify their misconceptions and can also give
information based on their observations.
Extend Tools/ Materials
The teacher will have a short assessment based on Kinetic Power Point Display
Molecular Theory Experiment.
