Observation
 There is not much interaction between the different departments in the college.

Question
 What are the factors contributing to segregation and inequality among Tanteen
T.A.M.C.C departments?

Hypothesis
 Location and Stereotypes are the factors that contribute to segregation and inequality
among Tanteen T.A.M.C.C departments.

Potential Solution
 Hosting departmental competitions (such as sports, quiz etc.)
 Creating a central lunch area where students can socialize.

Prediction
 We predicted that the experiment will make T.A.M.C.C more award of how the different
departments feel about the topic and that the research will, inspired a change.

Experiment
 Method Of Investigation:
o Survey- is a way of getting information about a specific type of behavior, experience,
or event. When using this method, researchers give people questionnaires or
interview them to obtain information.

 How the experiment would be carried out

o Firstly, Questionnaires will be distributed to the different departments via online
o These questionnaires will be used to determine
 What candidates to interview?
 What questions to ask candidates to get the best response?
 Moreover, candidates ability to answer the questions on the topic.
o After, candidates will be chosen to undergo an interviewed.

Analysis
A group of people interpreted and discussed the information accumulated. There are three
department in Tanteen T.A.M.C.C, which are the School of Continuing Education (S.C.E),
School of Applied Arts and Technology (S.A.A.T) and School of Arts Science and
Professional Studies (SASPS). From carrying out the experiment these where the factors found
which contributed to the segregation and inequality:
o Age Gap
From interviewing the School of continuing education, age was a factor affecting
segregation. Students found interacting with the other departments like S.A.A.T and
SASPS, which consist of a younger age group, is difficult and because of this, they
are reluctant to engage person from other departments.

o Location
All the departments mention that the location of the different departments makes it
hard to interact. Student from SASPS find that walking from their department to the
other departments is to long especially to culinary (S.A.A.T) and vice versa.

o Time and schedule

All the departments postulated that there is not a time like secondary school where
everyone’s free which makes it hard to meet people and socialize. Students from the
S.A.A.T department say they never really get to see much students from the other
departments unless they are going home or they come to their department and vice
versa.

o Clicks
Students find it hard to interact with the people from the different department because
of clicks. What is a click? It established groups of people who are always together
when they are free. They find it hard to introduce themselves because of social
prejudice (fear of being humiliated).

o Stereotypes
Preset stereotypes of what college departments are affects how individuals from
different departments view each other. Brothers, relatives, or other individuals told
student from the S.A.A.T department that students at SASPS feel their better or more
superior. Therefore, they entered college with preset animosity, which affects their
outlook of the different departments and persons residing in them.

Recommendation
o Activities where the departments get to engaged with each other.
o Creating a lunch central area where students can socialize.

Conclusion
Segregation and inequality is a serious issue among campus members, students feel that they are
not really reaching their fullest potential and that their college experience is less than mediocre.
Rectifying this problem will benefit not just the students on the campus but the entire campus.
