SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN

I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of 45 minutes, the students will be able to:
a. understand the principles of learner centered psychological in cognitive and
metacognitive factors;
b. value the importance of cognitive and metacognitive through class recitation; and
c. express ideas through group discussions/activity about cognitive and metacognitive
factors.

Directions:The students will be divided into two groups. Each group will choose 1
representative to pick the word in the box and ham it while the members of the group will
answer the hamming word. Each group will be given 1 minute and 30 seconds to ham the word.

B. Lesson Presentation

Cognitive and Metacognitive Factors

The class will be divided into 6 section/group. Each group will create a circle for the
group discussion, each group are assign to describe each principle under the Cognitive and
Metacognitive.
Later on, each group assign one person to discuss the principle that they describe to the
class.

C. Application:

Directions: Same group, teacher give questions (one questions to all group) after which, each
group answer the question/s by discussing or brainstorming to their member, drama, jingle and
any form of activity in answering the questions. Each question will only answer more than 3
minutes.

Guide questions:

 How can you develop your students’ their metacognitive factor?


 How can you assess your students prior to the instruction?
 As we learned in the theory, students have multiple intelligences, how can we develop
those intelligences?
 To provide a classroom as a conducive for learning, what are the factors to be
considered?
 Why do we need to set objectives?
