At the end of the lesson, pupils can act out the activities at the beach at least 6 out of 8 correctly with

the teacher’s guidance.
At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to connects at least 4 out of 6 sentences using the ‘and’

conjunction with the guidance from the teacher.

1. Teacher writes the word ‘beach’ on the whiteboard.

2. Teacher asks the pupils what they can do at the beach.


I. PRE-LESSON
3. Pupils answer the question by writing on the whiteboard.

4. Teacher tells the class that this unit about what can you do at the beach.

5. Teacher explains the pupils’ answer.

1. Teacher holds up each flashcard in turn and do the actions.

II. LESSON
DEVELOPMENT

(45 minutes)
2. Teacher says the words for pupils to repeat in chorus.

3. Teacher does this for three or four times.

4. Pupils stick the word cards on the whiteboard and make a matching verb
with nouns.

Activity 1

1. Pupils look at the picture in their text book page 106.

2. Pupils elicit who they can see, what the characters are doing in the
picture.

3. Pre-teach ‘and’ and ‘let’s’.

4. Play the recording (CD 3 Track 34). Pupils do the action based on
the words listened.

5. Play the recording again. Pupils repeat the words and the nouns.

6. Pupils look at the chant.

7. Teacher plays the recording (CD 3 Track 35). Pupils listen and
follow the chant in their book.

Activity 2

1. Teacher explains the activity that the pupils need to write the
sentences and use the coordinating conjunction (and).

2. Pupils write in the exercise book upon listening to the sentences


read by the teacher.

3. Pupils use the right coordinating conjunction to connect the


sentences.

1. Teacher concludes what pupils have learned today.
