What is client?
According to Wikipedia client is a piece of computer hardware or software that accesses a service made
available by a server. The server is often (but not always) on another computer system, in which case the client
accesses the service by way of a network.

Some of types of client devices

First is Thick/Fat Client – The personal computer is a common example of a fat client, so why is it called fat? This
is because of its relatively large set of features and capabalities and its light reliance upon a server.
Thin Client – this is a minimal sort of client. So why is it called thin client? Generally it only presents processed
data provided by a server, in short you can use many clients with only 1 server.
Hybrid client – is the client is a mixture of the above two clients model? So what is Hybrid client? An example of
this client is a device/client running an online application in one or more server in which that application can be
stored or access by different users simultaneously.
For your network configuration is one of the most important part of the router, you can configure different
functionality of a router, this is usually use for administration or access control or security purposes.
For wireless configuration, the purpose of this functionality is for the user to access settings like wireless
security, mac filtering, wireless advanced and wireless statics. For wireless settings you can modify the Wireless
Network Name, module channel and so on. For mac filtering you can use this configuration if you want to block
or allow the user who can access your network by saving their unique MAC address you can find the mac
address in computer in Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Connection and right click the Local
Area Connection and choose status, and Physical Address. For other devices like cellphone, tablet you can find
MAC address in Settings > About Status > MAC Address.

For 3rd Trainee (Beginner/Slow Learner), watch video on how to configure wireless access point, while answering
guide question. I’ll go back with you later.

Go back to 1st Trainee and check his work, and check Progress Chart and Achievement Chart.
