now first of all I'd like to know something about each of you Paolo can you tell me a little
about your work or studies and about your ambitions for the future yes i have just graduated
in the management from the university of san paulo in brazil and i came here to Cambridge to
improve my English for then when I come back to Brazil we can apply for a job in the financial
area or something related to business or banking this kind of things thank you and now Lara I'd
like to know something about your work or studies and what you like best about your work or
studies I'll start in my first year my university in Amsterdam next year I will start in September
the study that I'm going to do is fashion and branding and I'm here in Cambridge to improve
my English so I can use it in my study in Amsterdam thank you and now Laura could you tell
me how important you think tourism is to the economy of Holland I think tourism is very
important for the economy of Holland especially for MGM because the most of the tourists
come to Amsterdam they faces our city and I think if there will not come so many tourists to
Amsterdam a lot of jobs will disappear and a lot of the money today thats a tourist spent in
MGM it goes to the economic so it's very important to have enough tourists in MGM and also
in other parts of Holland of course thank you now Paolo could you tell me what influenced you
think international business is having on work practices in Brazil as international business is
having a very big influence in Brazil for example there are a lot of people starting to learn
English in Brazil in order to make business to with people from the United States or from
Europe and also for example if you if you make a business with someone from Latin America
for example you will also speak speak English am sorry because we don't speak Spanish with
them is even though we can understand that these kind of things english is the main language
so that's that's the most important influence that they are bringing to us

then ask her a question about it I will talk about product planning the factors involved in deciding on
the name of new products it's very important to think about the new name of a new product because
the name has to be very short not very short bit short and powerful so if it's short and powerful
people can remember it easier lead in a longer name longer names people will forget it easy early it's
also very important that's not too difficult because when too difficult people can remember it and
they can write it down so they don't know how to spell it it's very good to church if the name from the
new product means something strange or something bad in another language you don't want that for
your new product it has to have a good sense Feder of it's also very important that it's connect with
something from the company so it connect with a new product or a trend or something that's also

day the brand name has to be short or it has to be somehow familiar to your public adult has to be

have to work in the way to communicate properly with people from other countries because maybe
the words or ideas you use may sound maybe unusual or strange or sometimes not acceptable by
other cultures and I think it's also important for you to somehow showed acknowledge you have
about the culture you are going to visit and acknowledges like a word or something something like a
food or other kind of things that you that shows that you are familiar with that culture you know to
show empathy with other cultures and that's very important for a business trip yes for me it's the

that we can hear you yes okay I think it's very good from the company to introduce a newsletter in
the company and if there's a newsletter in company other people can read what the changes are in
the company what kind of information they have in the company and maybe if there are new people
we're going to work in a company they can see them in a newsletter so I think it's very useful as I
really agree with you in fact I was also thinking about the newsletter to hazard advantage of
communicating the objective of the company and how people should be oriented in the company
water post what is their task not that that text desks but what how they should act and what are their
purpose and objectives ok but you also think that it has to be information about the general general
information about the company magnets a different parts of the company but general information
about the company yes general information because it's for all the companies not for a specific area
so so some everyone should be aware of what's going on in the company ok yes and I think it's also
good to introduce new rules or important changes in the newsletter and I think it's fair that people
know the information the same time it's not some part of the company's information before the other
party knows now body knows on the same time I think that's very good it's more it's more fair yes to
everybody to everybody know together what how things are changing in these kind of things and in
fact it has to be general you know it can't be very specific because as i said as i told you it's for the
whole company yes i think it's good to general newsletter once a week or once a month so when
there's enough news to send and you can send it by email or you can print it and give it to everybody
on their office there are a lot of opportunities i think to do it don't you think yes it has everyone has to
read it or at least has to know that there is a newsletter for for them to to have the proper
information its kind of thing so it as you said it has to be sent by Mao and it has to be up for everyone
to have a chance to know about this news better yes I think it's her yes mm-hmm I think maybe they
asked to take somebody from india company who makes news either he can go to other people ask
what they want in your news day yes you can do a lot of thing you can do a lot of things in a new
cleaner yes it's very useful i think all the company says to introducing the header in the company

is a good idea for all companies I think it's not necessary for all companies I think it's good to
introduce newsletters in big companies if you have more than 10 employers or something it's good

companies you just can send an email or something but in big companies when you have a lots of lots
of employees you have to send a newsletter with also image this kind of things too in fact is
communication between employers and employees yes I think it's very good to give all the
information to a big company so everybody know the information on the same time so big companies
go where they work yes yeah newsletter is very good for that in what ways can companies
communicate regularly with customers paolo me reporting service that the customer relation that's
the name it's a good idea because customers may tell the business if it's wrong or if the right what
they what are their complaints and these kind of things what do you think about it I think the
company can also communicate with the customers by email or by the website you can ask questions
to the company and they can answer the questions by the email or by the website I think do you think
the influence of customers on companies is increasing nowadays yes it is it is in fact increasing
especially if you think about the what is my environmental way of seeing things you know all the time
as you see the customers they want the companies to be more environmentally so they they
demanded that the companies to be like to send instead of plastic to say to say oh it on glass
