WHAT IS BATTLFIELD?

BATTLEFIELD IS AN ACTIVITY WHICH IS ORGANISED TO


EXPERIENCE THE MARKET IN REAL CONDITION.
IT HELPS TO IMPLEMENT THE BASIC FUNCTION OF
MANAGEMENT i.e; PLANNING, STAFFING, CONTROLLING,
DIRECTING AND ORGANIZING.
IT HELPS IN BUILDING UP COORDINATION WITH
TEAM MATES, HOW TO HANDLE SITUATION , HOW TO
SWITCH TO OTHER DECISION WHEN PLAN-A DOESN’T
WORK.
IT IS THE 8TH YEAR OF BATTLEFIELD ACTIVITY . IT HAS A
GREAT IMPACT ON MANAGEMENT STUDENTS FOR
KNOWING THE REAL MARKET AND UNDERSTAND.
PURPOSE OF BATTLEFIELD:

Management includes the activities of setting the mantra


or strategies of an organization and maintaining a cordial
relationship with teammates of an organization . And
accomplishing the activities with the available resources like
finance, human, technology and other factors in an effective
way. And working in non biased way.
This what we learned and this is what the purpose of
battlefield activity.
OBJECTIVE:

➢TO WORK AS A TEAM.

➢TO PROVIDE BEST SERVICES TO THE CONSUMER


AND PROVIDE A1 QUALITY OF PRODUCT.

➢TO GET THE PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS OF THE


PROCESS INVOLVED IN ANY BUSINESS .

➢TO LEARN AND EARN.

➢EXPANDING THE PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE


REAGARDING MARKETING STRATEGY.
MARKET SURVEY:
The market survey was done by the team members about
the type of food which is most preferred by the people.
The parameters were based upon what we think as a
customer when we our out to street for good quality food.
Hence , accordingly our menu card was prepared.

SPOT SELECTION:
The selection of location was done by us visiting that place
twice to see the crowd and the public. Then we confirmed the
location that is near FedEx courier D’couza colony ,college road.
One day prior to the activity we asked for the permission and
they granted the permission for setting up the stall.

Profit made =200

We distributed the income equally 600 per head . First day we got a good response for
Idli, dabeli(cheese), panipuri we got unexpeted response on this day we didn’t felt as if we
were new . But on second day we didn’t got response as we expected due to major mob was
having fast but for fast we kept sweet dish which they prefer. But as compared to first day the
response was poor but somehow because of first day the invested amount was recovered
and lastly we ended with 200 profit.
MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLE THAT WERE
USED IN BATTLEFIELD:

In simple language, management can be defined


as “managing people tactfully”. Management
includes activities like setting the strategies of
an organization and coordinating the efforts of
Its employee to achieve its objective. The various
Principles of management which our group
followed:
PLANNING:
Planning is the primary stage of management as a well as basic
fundamental of management. It deals with jotting down and
pointing out the future course of action and deciding in
advance the best course of action.
ORGANISING:
It is the process of bringing together physical, financial and
human resources and developing productive relationship
amongst them for achievement of organizational goals.
STAFFING:
It is the function of managing the organization structure and
keeping it manned. Staffing has assumed greater importance in
the recent years due to advancement of technology, increase in
size of business, complexity of human behavior etc.
The main purpose of staffing is to put right man on right job i.e.
square pegs in square holes and round pegs in round holes.
DIRECTING:

Direction is that inert-personnel aspect of management which


deals directly with influencing, guiding, supervising,
motivating sub-ordinate for the achievement of organizational
goals. Direction has following elements:

Supervision
Motivation
Leadership

CONTROLLING:

The purpose of controlling is to ensure that everything


occurs in conformities with the standards. An efficient system
of control helps to predict deviations before they actually
occur
CO-ORDINATING:

Co-ordination is the unification, integration,


synchronization of the efforts of group members
so as to provide unity of action in the pursuit of
common goals. It is a hidden force which binds all
the other functions of management

Department of M.B.A Dr.Rakesh Patil , for giving us the
opportunity to carry out this event as a team . I wish to

conclusion
Through this activity we really got to know what exactly team
work means. Team has great impact on the success of any
organisation though it may be small or big .
For every new startup theoretical and practical knowledege must
there. This battlefield activity helped us to explore the real market and
face real customer. It really helped how to tackle situation and how to
please customer for buying product.
The more you are creative in promotion, catch hold of customer,
making loyal customer, effective utilisation of resource,
then you end up with success in capturing market.
