368 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. Seek
good. (Amos 5:14) “The prophet Amos, calls us not to just do good, but to
seek good; the neighbor who irks us with an unkept yard, the elderly uncle
who calls us late at night because he can’t sleep, the child who is not going to
church because of difficulty in her life. Let us go one step beyond doing
good, let us seek the good in the life of each person we encounter and so discover
God’s reflection.” (Sr. Bridget Haase, O.S.U.) Call Joie today 330-745-6852 for your
hour of reflection.

Thanks be to God! We have a new adorer, John Monsour, who took the Friday 2-
3pm spot. May God bless you on this journey!

Third Sunday of Lent

In Jesus’ time, men and women did not converse; Samaritans and Jews hated each
other. In today’s Gospel, Jesus was able to change the life of the woman at the well
because he was willing to break down the barriers of hatred and misunderstanding.
Whenever we break the barriers of misunderstanding and mend tattered relationships
in our own families, we too discover the “gift of God” in our midst.

Pastors Pick of the Week: “The Divine Plan”

How does a plot that involves the assassination attempts of President Reagan and Pope
John Paul II, KGB scheming, and CIA intrigue become the final act to topple the Soviet Empire?
The Divine Plan dives deep into the pivotal bond between Pope John Paul II and President
Ronald Regan. Just six weeks apart in the spring of 1981, the pope and the president took
bullets from would-be assassins. Surviving strikingly similar near-death experiences, they
confided to each other a shared conviction: that God had spared their lives for the purpose of
defeating communism. The Divine Plan draws on the film’s exclusive interviews with
renowned historians, scholars, journalists, and the church officials including well-known
historians Douglas Brinkley, H. W. Brands, Anne Applebaum, John O’Sullivan, Craig Shirley
(the leading biographer of John Paul II), George Weigel, close Reagan adviser Richard V. Allen,
Cardinal Timothy Dolan and Bishop Robert Barron.

The Women in Barberton's History. The Women of Faith invite you come to our
next meeting on March 24 in the school cafeteria beginning at 6:30pm. Every time we
start talking about the people who built Barberton, we find ourselves talking about OC
Barber, WA Johnston, MJ Alexander, AO Austin, Charles Baird, among others. It
should not be a surprise since most community leaders have been men. There is no
doubt that these men played important roles in the history of Barberton, but there
were also women involved in the growth of Barberton. They are not mentioned
nearly as often as the men, so it is important to remember their contributions
as well. Come listen to Sarah B. Hayes, MLIS, MA Local History and Genealogy
Librarian, tell us their story. Bring your daughters (10 and older) and your
friends for an interesting evening! Refreshments will be served!
