Q1. Information about applicant’s family and Academic Background? (If married, details about In-Laws’ family,
spouse education & employment details and date of marriage)

My name is Nitish Hans . I belong to a nuclear family . In my family we are 6 members . My father is working in a
government department and my mother is a home maker . My brother and sister ,both are in Australia . Brother is
in victoria university and perusing his Mechanical Engineering . However, my sister is in Australian Catholic
University (ACU) perusing her B.Sc. (Nursing) .

I have recently completed my senior secondary education with aggregate 69.6% in 2019 from CBSE board (Central
Board of Secondary Education) , However, I have completed my matriculation education with 9.4CGPA. . After
completion of my senior secondary education , my brother and sister guided me a lot and helped me in choosing my
career as well .They also guided me about the study pattern of Australia and the value of gaining an international
experience .Moreover, My sister is also doing Nursing from Australia , so she also explained me the benefits of doing
nursing from Australia and whatever she told me that was as per her experience .So, after communication and all
the research that I have done under my sisters guidance , I decided to apply foreign for higher studies started
appearing for PTE exam.

Q2. Information about Applicant’s and/or dependent’s past immigration history (like his/her pervious visa
rejections, travel history etc.)

No, I don’t have any Immigration history.

Q3.Details required about Applicant’s relatives if they are living in Australia/ NZ.

Yes , my brother and sister are in Australia . They both are on Study visa . Brother is in victoria university and
perusing his Mechanical Engineering . However, my sister is in Australian Catholic University (ACU) . she is perusing
her B.sc (Nursing ) .

Q4. Information regarding research done on similar programs/courses being taught in home country?

There are large number of top nursing colleges in different cities of India which are Private as well as Government .
In India student can apply for ANM, GNM, Diploma, B.sc (Nursing), Master of Nursing . Reputed institutes follow
merit based admission process. Under this scheme, marks scored by students in 10+2 board examination and/or
relevant entrance test (national, state or institute-wise) are taken into consideration. Seats are allotted to deserving
candidates on the basis of merit marks obtained by them.

Among them the most top college is All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Some more
are Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, Armed Force Medical College (AFMC), Pune, Madras Medical
College, Chennai, and many more. But to get admission in these top ranked institutes student have to clear the

entrance exam of the respective institute . like to get admission in AIIMS student have to clear the entrance exam
which is conducted by the AIIMS management. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), formerly the All
India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) is an entrance examination in India for students who wish to study graduate and
postgraduate medical courses. Moreover , the admission criteria is quite tough in these institutes. After completion
of course from AIIMS , institute also provides 2years paid internship within the AIIMS hospital .there are number of
private colleges in India but they are not providing the practical knowledge as per the required course. In India, to
get admission in reputed institute students have appear for competitive exam of the respective institute . The first
and foremost reason for choosing nursing studies in Australia rather than my home country , is that the technology
used in India is not updated .Moreover, the infrastructure of medical institutes is not as per required. There is a
need to make some developments in the infrastructure. In India students are not able to get the required knowledge
as compared to the international students . In medical line , practical knowledge is very important , for which
updated machines are required , but due to their heavy cost ,private institutes are not to afford them as the public
institutes do , because in public institutes they funding is done by the government only .However, If in a case private
institute/universities able to afford the machines in that case they don’t have the experienced staff to use that
machines . On the other hand , in government sectors , they have the experienced staff , even in case they don’t
have they can appoint someone from some another government institute because they do have their tie-up’s .

Q5. Information on research /comparison between USA, UK, Canada and Australia as a study destination. Why
student has decided to apply for Australia? (Comparisons with examples would be preferable)

Since, nursing is a globally in-demand profession, one should compare and choose the best. When compared to the
education system being followed in Canada, New Zealand, still has a long way to go. As ranked by the QS World
University Ranking, only the University of Auckland from New Zealand is counted among the top 100 universities for
higher studies in any respective field. However, Canada on the other hand has 3 universities standing proud in the
list. Australia is the 3rd most popular student destination for international students next to the US and UK With over
22,000 courses across 1,100 institutions, strong education infrastructure, and having 7 out of the 100 top universities
in the world, Australia has gained recognition in providing world class education

It is always suggested to practice nursing outside native country. Amidst challenges and new environment, student
can learn the best about evolving patient care techniques. Countries like Australia, Canada and New Zealand are
highly preferred by Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) to pursue their nursing study abroad. These three
countries have different benefits and study methods which help students to learn new things. There are various
parameters in relation to these countries and help students to pick a suitable international destination to take
nursing career ahead on a global platform.

 Healthcare System
Prosperity of a country largely depends on its healthcare system. Nursing students and professionals aspiring to
study and work abroad should take in consideration the healthcare system of a country before making the final
choice. Not only is it essential to determine the growth rate but it also affects job roles and growth as an
international nurse.
Australia
Ranked as the healthiest nation in the southern hemisphere, Australia has an average life expectancy of 82.8, which
is possibly the fourth highest in the world. However, looking from a broader perspective, the country needs to
improve its resource allocation and at the same time identify improvement outcomes amongst the patients. Overall,
the healthcare system of Australia is counted among the best but in terms of performance measurement, there is
always a scope of development.

Canada
Known as Medicare, Canada’s healthcare system guarantees medically necessary and hospital physician services to
all the citizens. Every province can decide for itself whether to cover supplementary benefits, like dental care and
drug coverage. Calling it perfect would be an overstatement but with the usage of latest technology, Canada is also
exercising the concept of e-Health that is helping to reduce waiting hours thereby increasing efficiency of the staff.
Here, we have the functional details about the e-Health model for Ontario. The video defines the role of necessary
elements required to realize the goals of e-Health. The video also highlights the causes, which lead to maintaining
electronic records of patients and how it is beneficial to render speedy services.
NewZealand
With an average life expectancy of 81.6 years, New Zealand is known for its active healthcare system. The country
has a mixture of free services and subsidized services where you pay a fee to cover some of the costs. These free and
subsidized services are available to New Zealand residents, with some exceptions for visitors from countries like the
UK and Australia.

 Immigration Friendly
Leaving your country and starting a new life abroad is crucial to growth. Thinking what really qualifies as immigration
friendly! Flexible work permit, easy visa rules, availability of jobs and services and a welcoming environment are a
few to start with. Developed nations around the world are now tightening their visa rules for international students,
which makes it a little difficult to find a suitable country. Well, let’s see out of the three which country is the best
suited for you nurses.
Australia
The land of kangaroos and koalas is home to more than 23.7 million people. Australia is a wealthy country with a
presence of people from different professional backgrounds and cultures. Immigrants can be assured of a quality
lifestyle, firm citizenship rights and economic stability. The country demands fluent English-speaking skills that are
key to survival. For aspiring nurses, the country is a perfect fit because of the increasing demand for nursing services.
Canada
Firstly, Canada is not biased. Secondly, Canada is the most immigrant-friendly country in the world. With an
abundance of land to accommodate immigrants, Canada has an approximate population of 36,000,000 and about
7,202,340 of those are immigrants from other nations. Cities like Vancouver and Toronto have a presence of
multicultural people all hailing from different backgrounds. Weather can be swinging towards being extremely cold
but the high standard of living ensures that you can easily get all the services and amenities at doorstep.
NewZealand
The country is one of the most beautiful places on earth. New Zealand is a home to world-best universities and,
state-of-the-art infrastructure. With a considerably low population, the country offers you a great opportunity to
take your global nursing career to a new level. However, the cost of living involved is relatively higher than that in
Canada. The low population that proves to be an advantage in job hunting can also make you feel isolated.

 Education Standard
Standards of nursing study abroad vary with the varying countries. Not all countries can deliver a better quality of
education than that in native country. Therefore, it is important to consider what new skills student would be
learning in a new country.
Australia
Rooted in a reputation for excellence, Australia is recognized worldwide for its dynamic and progressive education
programs. Taking in consideration the nursing education specifically, it’s notable that Australia has fine quality
nursing schools that provide nurse education programs designed to service every sector of the health care industry.
Canada
According to BBC News, “Canada is an education superpower that has climbed into the top tier of education
rankings”. More than a third of young adults in Canada are from families where both parents are from another
country. Well, now discussing the scenario of nursing education in particular, Canada offers a practical learning
experience that exceeds the boundaries of classroom learning. Providing an exposure to hands on experience, the
country has a high preference amongst the young nurses who aim to move abroad. But international students are
not directly eligible for Bachelors of Nursing .because to get admission directly in nursing they need Mathematics .
So, Medical students with background non mathematics are not directly eligible.

NewZealand
Both private and public education models are followed in New Zealand. The country educates the students with
quality driven practices that are globally recognized. Bachelor degrees completed in New Zealand are widely
recognized internationally for enrolment in postgraduate programs at universities around the world. In fact, one
should must know that the country has signed agreements with groups of European and Asia-Pacific countries that
commit to recognizing each other’s qualifications. Since, nursing is a globally in-demand profession, one should
must compare and choose the best. When compared to the education system being followed in Canada, New
Zealand still has a long way to go. As ranked by the QS World University Ranking, only the University of Auckland
from New Zealand is counted among the top 100 universities for higher studies in any respective field. However,
Canada on the other hand has 3 universities standing proud in the list. But admission criteria in these universities is
quite tough and to get admission in these top ranked universities is not everyone’s cup of tea.

 Salary
Arriving to the final destination, the compensation students receive is important. After spending savings,
time and effort, salary might not be the only factor determining the success but it definitely is one
important factor to be considered.
Australia
After successfully completing the required education level and becoming a Registered Nurse in Australia,
students are entitled to an average salary of $65,000 per year. Nurse wages vary based on location,
qualifications, experience and seniority. In terms of the hefty money spent earning your degree, the stated
salary is the best possible.
Canada
Becoming a Registered Nurse in Canada is relatively more beneficial in the long run. RNs in Canada earn an
average salary of C$60,405 annually.
NewZealand
Wages for Registered Nurses in New Zealand stand on an annual average of NZ$56,439. Clearly, the returns
are less if compared to the other two countries.
Nurses, studying abroad can be a life-changing decision if student ensure to choose a favorable destination. From
the stats and facts discussed above, Australia stands out to be the most student-friendly country. From its affordable
study options to global recognition, Australia offers a range of nursing programs that help students to excel in any
discipline of students choice.

Q6. Reasons highlighting why applicant has chosen particular University –what comparison done with other
universities?

There are number of universities that are offering bachelor of nursing in Australia and these are the best
universities like University of Sydney, University of Adelaide, University of Wollongong, Edith Cowan University, La
trobe university Monash University and RMIT ( Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) . My preference is RMIT
and there are number of reasons behind that. RMIT is committed to providing transparency to the admissions
process. In line with this commitment, RMIT provides the information that will help in making informed choices
about undergraduate study options. This program consists of theoretical and practical content which will develop
skills and enable students to practise as a registered nurse in Australia. RMIT is smack-bang in the middle of
Melbourne CBD, which means it’s ridiculously easy to access, no matter which suburb you live in. The campus itself is
not just ideally located, it’s in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. There’s a lot of stuff out there criticising university,
especially due to the number of university graduates who are struggling to find work. But not every university is the
same, and many have support services to ensure that the transition from graduation into a career is smooth. RMIT
has Job Shop, which is a drop-in service center for everything related to career. Kind of like a Career’s Advisor, except
they host job skill workshops and networking sessions, career health checks, resume tips and more.RMIT offer more
than 350 different courses  in a whole range of different subject areas. Whether students into design, education,
business, gaming, environment and sustainability, or science, there’s bound to be a course that interests you. RMIT

Created on 23.10.2017
offers well-renowned courses across a whole range of subject areas but when it comes to art, design and
architecture, it has a reputation for being world-class. In 2015, RMIT was ranked as the top university in Australia for
the discipline and 20th in the world. It’s an all-round good university, but it’s particularly legit when it comes to art,
design and architecture

RMIT has a strong focus on new and emerging trends, such as gaming, interactive media, sustainability and big data.
If you’re concerned about how jobs of the future may change, rest assured that RMIT has a range of options to
prepare you for an ever-changing world.

Victoria university is at rank 29 in QS world ranking as whereas RMIT is at 8 th Rank . no doubt , Monash university ‘s
rank is higher than RMIT , but to get admission in Monash mathematic is required as mentioned in the link .

https://www.monash.edu/study/courses/find-a-course/2019/nursing-m2006?international=true#recent-secondary-
education

Moreover, In RMIT I will get a one more year ,that would help me to explore more knowledge .and after completing
of this course the starting salary will be more after completing this course from RMIT . Moreover, University of
Wollongong, Edith Cowan University ,LA trobe University are quite expensive universities and RMIT provides best
facilities as compared to these universities.

and much more.
After returning back to home country on completion my graduation in nursing, there are several job opportunities
available by firms in the private as well as public sectors. Few of the areas are:• Clinics and Heath Departments•
Defense Services• Hospitals• Industrial Houses and Factories• Nursing Science Schools• Training Institutes, etc.
Even I can also work with charitable institutions such as Old Age Homes and Orphanages, Nursing Homes, etc.
Nursing graduates have a brighter future when compared to the other hospital staff. Nurses generally can work in
different specialised wards or units that gives them a good exposure and helps in understanding the quality care
required in different clinical conditions.

The main streams that will allow nurses to build a brighter career are:
 Critical Care nursing
Critical care is essential for critically ill patients who are undergoing a surgery or any serious health
condition. As a critical care nurse, we need to be aware of the acute critical conditions that affect adult
population. Critical care knowledge will enable the nurses to work in different intensive care departments.
Gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the critical illness and the quality care a patient requires in
critical care units.
 Cardiac nursing
Patients suffering from acute or chronic cardiac conditions need the utmost care. Knowledge in cardiac care
will help you in building capabilities and competencies required for specific treatment plans on cardiac care
including personalized care planning and health-education. Cardiac nursing is highly in demand due to the
increasing number of cardiac cases across the globe.
 Palliative nursing
The most demanding field of nursing is cancer and palliative care. Cancer and palliative nursing is crucial due
to the severity of the patient’s condition. After completing the graduation in nursing, nurses can gain
specialization in palliative care and build a successful career in this stream.
 Nursing administration
Nursing is considered as a transactional profession. However, if you are willing to explore your career in a
leadership role, you must gain knowledge about the nursing administration. To lead a nursing department or
explore your career in an administrative department of the hospital, an in-depth knowledge of the nursing
administration is required.
 Surgical nursing
Surgical nursing knowledge and skills are required for the patients who have undergone any minor or major
surgery. Clinical surgeons need professionally skilled surgical nurses who can assist them during the surgery.
To address this need nurses should acquire knowledge of the different techniques used during the surgeries
and how it will impact the patients.
