More than 25 000 international students from over 100 countries have chosen to study
at RMIT campuses in Melbourne and elsewhere around the world. If you decide to join
them, you will find us a welcoming and multi-cultural university, specialising in providing
our students with a global passport to learning, work and personal and professional
satisfaction. Since our establishment in 1887 we have become a top choice for work-
relevant learning.

Many students find that an RMIT pathway program such as the RMIT Foundation
Program is the ideal bridge between school and university, as it makes the transition
as smooth and simple as possible. The pathway programs offered by RMIT International
College are designed to prepare you for success at RMIT University. You are not only
guaranteed a place* in your preferred RMIT University degree, as a pathways student
you are already an RMIT student, taught by University academics and studying in
Melbourne’s most vibrant downtown campus.

Unlike other generic programs, RMIT’s Foundation Studies programs have been
carefully designed to prepare you for success in your subsequent university studies in
business; science, engineering and technology; art, design and architecture; media
and communication, and property and construction management. Our Foundation
programs are designed, supported and accredited by RMIT University. They are also
recognised by the Australian Government and other Australian and overseas
universities. These are our most popular pathway programs for international students
and offer different start dates to suit you. You can also study at your own pace as you
have a choice of standard accelerated, fast track or extended program options.

Whichever pathway you choose, you will be supported by highly experienced RMIT staff
who understand the needs of young people studying in another country, away from
family and friends. The University undertakes follow-up studies which show that former
RMIT pathways students perform well in their further studies at RMIT University—in fact
last year 90% of those who successfully completed their Foundation Program went on
to higher education at RMIT University.

Congratulations on considering RMIT International College. In choosing an RMIT

pathways program you will study with a group of like-minded students focused on
