3.7.4 Conclusion

Through the experiment on the Demonstration of Bernoulli’s Principle, we

concluded that as Bernoulli stated, high velocity of fluid flow results in low
pressure and based on the continuity equation, the smaller the area, the higher
the velocity. Even the value is not exactly the same, the pattern of increasing and
decreasing at the converging and diverging portion is same to that as the velocity
increases; the total head pressure increases for both convergent and divergent
flow.

It has been noted that when the diameter of the cross section is smaller, there
were increasing velocities in the distribution tube. The larger the pressure
difference gave the most speed of fluid flow. The fluid flowthrough the venturi
meter, the head is higher at the narrower tube and vice versa. The narrower the
tube the higher velocities and lower pressure. As we move the pin installed in
the pipe, the total height differs and also with the height of the water inside the
series of pipes in the equipment.
