OBJECTIVE

Seeking the role of Junior Architect in an Architecture firm which considers professionalism and design
perfectionism as a tool for growth, expansion and change. I desire to be a part of the following

ARCHITECTURE EXPERIENCE

Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur (2011-16)

College Curriculum focused on working up the way from designing basic architectural elements to
larger multi activity planning and design of institutions.

The process involved finding the right design context, case study, area program, structural assessment,
feasibility, environment and energy sustainability, visualization, moving on to final jury presentation.
Projects included- Sailors’ Community Hub (Thesis), Institute of History and Sociology(Planning),
School of Architecture, Auditorium and Acoustics design, Canara Bank Interior design, Visitors’
Information Center (Landscape).
Training/ Internship

Three months at Positron Architects and Planners, Thane (April 2014 to June 2014)
Six months at Design Elements Architects and Planners, Thane (May 2015 to December 2015)

Abhikalpan Architects and Planners, Mumbai (June 2018 to January 2019)

The job focused on designing and executing architectural plans at a larger scale. New skills were
learned in this process, namely-

Research and application of construction laws and rules from development plans in Mumbai and Pune.
Finding ideal design layouts through internal discussion and drawings options.
Following an established company workflow of file archiving and stage-wise execution of projects
through timely scheduling of work.
Working with numbers in MS Excel for FSI calculation, Parking requirements and Materials estimation
to ensure efficient and cost-effective design.

Concept design, Working Drawings (drafting and checking), Landscape design of outdoor spaces, 2D
and 3D visualization through softwares and general schedule completion to ensure billing is done on
time.

Morphitects Designers (January 2019 to May 2019) (Training)

Previous job provided security and also a basic learning experience of the working inside the office, but
now priority has shifted to studying the market, creating PRs, developing contacts, involvement in
business negotiations and in-general a hands-on business experience.

Started working as a trainee with Morphitects and involved in activities namely-

Bungalow Design, Nagpur
Roof Terrace Garden Design, Pune
Graphics design and Animations for firm portfolio
Retail design and branding for companies like Indian Oil and Titan.

K Sera Sera Box Offices Ltd. (June 2019 to now)

Working as Site architect and executed four movie theater projects in five months. The task involved
complete design supervision and guidance from start to end at different sites in Latur, Vadodara,
Ahmadabad, Ambejogai and Akola. The various processes involved were, namely-

Modular Fiber-Reinforced Plastic Dome installation.

Waterproofing works for the fiber construction.
Interior Design works involving upholstery foam, stretch fabric and carpet fitting.
Carpentry works including Doors, door frames, Box office tables, Machines cabinets.
Painting works for both interiors and exteriors.
Electrical layouts planning for LED lights, machines like projector, server, sound system, AC/ cooler.
Signage designs to guide movement patterns in and out of the theater.
LED lighting layout design.
Metal fabrication works to make stands for projector machine and speakers.
Basic masonry works for kitchen, toilets, box office and dome plinth.
Along with designing and execution, the job also required searching the local markets for the right
materials at the right costs. This involved extensive market surveys and bargaining skills.
The job included managing up-to 15 artisans at a time and also arrange for their hospitality
requirements since the sites changed almost every month.
Drawings and sketches were used to communicate the design at the site level. These included-
Seating arrangements for the theater.
Layout of the FRP modules in radial patterns.
Locations of elements like doors, AC. vents, kitchen, toilets. Box office and parking layout.
Other activities like landscaping, water fountain, outdoor seating, watchman’s cabin, exterior
lighting poles, compound wall and rainwater drainage layouts.

Now since I have worked at site and gathered basic experience in the practical side of things in
architecture, I believe I have a better view of the designing and commercial side of it. Proper planning
and research when combined with the design aspects of balance and character can give out
extraordinary results in an ordinary world. I want to work now in the fields of Liasoning, Designing,
3D visualization, Working drawings, Site works if available in Mumbai/ Pune. I am ready to learn more
aspects of architecture in the process.
