If you need any help with the installation of Guru content manager, or for questions or concerns related to the
software, please contact the Schlumberger Software Support Portal.

The content manager is a standalone piece of software. It is used to create and update content locations for
Guru to link to. It can also get the latest and most up to date versions of the Schlumberger content as well as
helping you manage your own content and who can view it.

The same version of content manager is used to control content locations for both Petrel Guru and Techlog
Guru.

For more information on what Guru content manager can do see the Guru content manager Help available after
installation (see Running Guru Content Manager for more information).

‘Documents’ directory. If you do not have a ‘Documents’ directory available you must change this to an available
directory. This can be done by
 Navigate to your Guru content manager installation directory.
 Open the file Slb.Guru.ContentManager.exe.config in a text editor.
 Change the <value> entry (shown below) to an available directory on your machine. Note: Guru Content
Manager now accepts the value ‘<localappdata>’. Which will link to the users local app data
directory.
