INSTRUCTIONS

1. The class shall form five (5) groups comprising strictly of five (5) members
per group.

2. GROUP 1 – CIVIL LIABILITY ON A CRIMINAL CASE OF ONLINE LIBEL UNDER
SEC. 4(4) OF RA 10175.
GROUP 2- UNLAWFUL DETAINER
GROUP 3- COLLECTION OF SUM OF MONEY
GROUP 4- CIVIL LIABILITY FOR QUALIFIED THEFT
GROUP 5- LIQUIDATION OF CONJUGAL PROPERTIES OF SPOUSES AND
SUPPORT OF COMMON CHILDREN PENDING LITIGATION

3. Each group will submit a JUDICIAL COMPROMISE AGREEMENT, this
presupposes that the case assigned per group has undergone court-annexed
or court-referred mediation, with Articles 2028 to 2041 of the New Civil
Code, A.M. No. 11-1-6-SC-PHILJA and the cases I assigned in relation to the
Law on Compromise as legal bases.

4. Each judicial compromise agreement shall state briefly the background facts
of the case, provide clearly the provisions, the damages with regard to civil
liability should be provided (e.g., actual damages, moral damages, attorney’s
fees, etc.) and the jurisdiction of the court should also be accurate.

5. The format of the compromise agreement should be strictly in accordance
with the Efficient Use of Paper Rule (A.M. No. 11-9-4-SC), Sections 3(a) and 4,
reproduced herein below:

Sec. 3. Format and Style. – a) All pleadings, motions and similar papers intended for the court and
quasi-judicial body’s consideration and action (court-bound papers) shall written in single space with
one-and-a –half space between paragraphs, using an easily readable font style of the party’s choice, of
14-size font, and on a 13 –inch by 8.5- inch white bond paper; and

Sec. 4. Margins and Prints .— The parties shall maintain the following margins on all court-bound
papers: a left hand margin of 1.5 inches from the edge; an upper margin of 1.2 inches from the edge; a
right hand margin of 1.0 inch from the edge; and a lower margin of 1.0 inch from the edge. Every page
must be consecutively numbered.

7. DEADLINE: The hard copy of the foregoing shall be submitted not later than
March 27, 2020 at 5:00 PM.

8. This will make up 30% of your final grade. The criteria for grading is:

ACCURACY – 50% (The judicial compromise agreement should follow relevant
laws and jurisprudence)

CONTENT AND CREATIVITY – 30% (The background facts of the case should be
stated, the provisions of the judicial compromise agreement should be clearly
stated and understood)

ATTENTION TO INSTRUCTIONS – 20% (The judicial compromise agreement
should follow the Efficient Use of Paper Rule, follow the format in accordance
with the foregoing instructions)
