Kenny's present show, 'I'm not says I … I'm Fine' heralds a return
to the type of work that made his reputation as one of the most tal-
ented comedians in the country. He uses the changing face of con-
temporary Ireland as the scaffold on which to build his hilarious
observations and characters. Running through such contrasting
experiences as supporting Munster rugby to visiting a health spa,
Kenny takes no prisoners and delights in emphasising the humour
in everyday 21-century life.

On 29th September '09, the first sod on LauraLynn House, the first
Children's Hospice in the twenty six counties was turned.
LauraLynn House will be a true 'Home from Home' bringing com-
fort to many sick children and their families in the future. Eight
children and four families will be looked after at any one time and
the house will give choice around respite for the family as a whole,
home support, choice when the sad end comes, if home is not pos-
sible and aftercare for as long as the family wishes. As we say, it's
about 'Putting life into a child's day - not days into a child's life'.
I would also like to take this opportunity on behalf of LauraLynn,
to pass on our huge and heartfelt thanks once again to the Arnott
family, relatives, friends, neighbours, colleagues and all who have
been so kind and generous in their support of the Annual Coffee
Morning held by the Arnott's to raise wonderful funds for the
Charity for many years now. Many thanks.

During December, people bake Christmas cakes, puddings

my grandfather particularly enjoyed! Hospitality is a way of

Trees are decorated with a star or an angel on top. Children
put a stocking (or a pillowcase!) at the bottom of their beds
for Santa Claus. I remember waking up on Christmas morn-

brother's bedroom. Gifts usually include an apple, an orange

years. This was not given for bad behavior but simply
because there was nothing else.

The Chamber has launched their new Shop Local campaign which
highlights the reasons for supporting local business in the run up

If we all make an effort to support our own business community,
more good things will happen to the town where we live.
They include protecting local jobs and creating new ones,
strengthening the local economy and building community spirit as
well as the future of Youghal.
The Chamber has created a poster reminding citizens of the town
to support their shops. The message will be on display throughout
the town over the coming weeks. People are being encouraged to
keep whatever money they can spend in their own home town.
Youghal is a great retail town - you can literally get everything you

No cards to send, no gifts to give,
But all our love as long as we live. The ache in our hearts will always stay,
Look after him Lord, don't leave him alone, We think about you always and talk about you to,
On his 22nd birthday, far away from home. We have so many memories but wish we still had you.
If heaven had a number, Patrick,
If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
We would call you on the phone,
To wish you a happy birthday, We would walk right up to heaven and take you home again.
And ask you to come home.

Because you're no longer here.
But the sorrow is too deep today, I don't know where to start.
Never ever think that,
We will remember every year. Although I cannot see you, you're with me night and day,
For when God took you from us, For you and I had a special love, death can't take away.

He took the finest Dad,

Match referee, President Mr. William Kelly People looking for a way to keep themselves motivated and posi-
tive in the face of these tough recessionary times need look no fur-
ther than Aura Youghal Leisure Centre.
In recognition of the increased financial strains that many people
are now experiencing Aura Youghal have introduced a number of
membership offers to allow people to maintain their fitness rou-
tines at a price they can afford.
“People are naturally more price conscious during a recession and
we are committed to ensuring that anyone who wants to keep up
their exercise routine can continue do so at an affordable price,”
explained Tracy Kenneally, Operations Manager at Aura Youghal
Leisure Centre.
The recent ‘99’ special membership offer is proving to be a huge
success and the initiative has generated much positive feedback.
“We would like to encourage people who want to start exercising
to become a member so anyone who signs up for 99 days member-
ship will only have to pay €99. This price includes free health
screening and fitness assessment,” Tracy added.

Youghal CYMS President Mr. William Kelly.
“We see no reason why exercising with friends can not become the
new alternative to coffee mornings or a night out at the pub. It is
healthier, it is fun and it is cheaper all round and we have received
a great response since we launched this initiative at the start of the
month,” Tracy continued.
“At Aura we understand that people are finding it increasingly dif-
ficult to keep up their health and fitness routines. In order to
encourage people to stay positive and active we have introduced a
number of membership offers which allow people to work out at a
cost they can afford,” explained Tracy.
“Everybody knows the importance of exercise. A healthy body is
a healthy mind and staying positive and motivated about all
aspects of your life should be the top of the agenda for everyone”

Memories are our greatest treasure, Our thoughts of you from day to day.
