Fixed Shunt Data Record

Non-Transformer Branch Data Records

Two-winding Transformer Data Records

Three-winding Transformer Data Records

Note 1 - All transformers are fixed tap.

Note 2 - The original data file is presented in IEEE Common Data Format [4]. Note that the star
point of the three-winding transformer is labeled bus 7 in this format; whereas, the star point is
not labeled as a bus in the PSS®E data format. To preserve bus labeling with the PSS®E data
file, I chose to include a zero impedance branch between buses 4 and 7. Furthermore, the three-
winding leakage impedances in the IEEE Common Data file are those of its T-equivalent circuit
(i.e. Z 1 , Z 2 , and Z 3 ); whereas, the PSS®E data record requests the short-circuit test impedances
(i.e. Z 1-2 , Z 2-3 , and Z 3-1 ). Note that Z 1-2 = Z 1 + Z 2 , Z 2-3 = Z 2 + Z 3 and Z 3-1 = Z 3 + Z 1 .
