1.0Introduction
Project Outline
The project is to design and develop a digital media chapter for the wiki book.
"Learning Tips for TAFE Students"
The wiki book will provide information for Tafe students on:
1. How to manage time effectively
2. How to cope with stress
3. How to use exercise to assist learning
4. How to study effectively.
We will work collaboratively in a team (four Teams in total) assisting each other
to develop ideas, locate resources, identify references and produce media to
include in our chapter “How to cope with stress”.
Each member of our team will produce their own digital media chapter.
Our projects will be presented to an audience for evaluation and a chapter

from the team will be selected for inclusion in the wiki book which will be made
available for use by TAFE students.

2.0Executive Summary
This project proposal is a response to an expression of interest received from

Mr Tony White of Randwick Tafe for the design and development of a digital
media chapter for a wiki book “Learning Tips for TAFE Students” advising
students “HOW TO COPE WITH STRESS”.
This report outlines the technological capabilities available and project

concepts plans, as well as previous work completed for our clients.

On completion we assure you that the Wiki chapter developed will be an asset
to all students in TAFE NSW.
The following project proposal outlines all that we have to offer to complete the
Wiki Chapter by the due date of completion 27th November 2007.
A project plan that outlines the tasks, milestones and gannt chart which shows
the timeline of the task we will undertake to complete the project.
Also some of our previous works to show what we are capable of doing as you
are aware we have just completed the e-learning module to teach the use of
the Canon Sure Shot Digital camera to Digital Media students in TAFE NSW.
3.0Our Capabilities
3.1 Team
Our team of 3 members have the combined qualifications and experience

necessary to complete this project on time:
• Audio and Website production
• Slideshow and Video production
• Content and Copywriters
• Graphic Designers
• Video/Photograph camera operators

3.2 Essential Equipment
We have all the required Software and equipment required to

complete the project.
• Windows and Mac operating systems (Computers)
• Access to websites and web servers for storage
• Video editing software for video production
• Scanners
• Video camcorder and camera to obtain video and photographs
• Audio editing software
• Photoshop software for editing
• Flash software

 Relaxation Remedies
• Video content
 Stresses for students attending college
• Photographs
 Stressful students
 Stress free students
• Interactive questions and answer quiz

 Do you suffer from stress
• The source information will be collected from the internet.

6.2Audience Analysis
One hundred students at Tafe were asked a series of questions

6.2.1 Survey Questions

Do you suffer from stress?

Do you know the symptoms of stress?
Question 3:
Do you know how to deal with stressful situations?
Question 4:
How satisfied are you with the information you can access at Tafe in
regards to stress?
Question 5:
How interested are you in any accessing a wiki book with tips on coping
with stress.

6.2.3 Conclusion
• 83% students suffer from stress
• 85% not enough current information available
• 67% have no idea what the symptoms of stress are
• 64% Don’t know how to cope with stress
• 100% thought the wiki chapter was a great idea with the
content suggested.
6.3 The Benefits

The chapter will provide the students with the appropriate
knowledge to understand and cope with stress while attending
college.
It will also point them to the right professional help if required.
6.4Technical Web Services

A description of the web services we will use to embed the digital
media in the wiki chapter.
Scribd
www.scribd.com
A website that makes it easy to share documents online. You can
think of Scribd as a big online library where everyone can upload
and publish original content! Access a code and embed it on your
website, wiki or blog.
Part of the idea behind Scribd is that everyone has a lot of
documents sitting around on their computers that only they can
read. With Scribd we hope to unlock this information by putting it
on the web.

www.vimeo.com
All you have to do is upload a video clip that’s 1280x720
resolution or better their servers will make a standard quality
version first, then a little later your video clip will appear in HD.
Vimeo recommend using the H.264 codec at size 1280x720, bit
rate 3000-5000 kbits/sec (optimized for “download”), key frame
every 30 frames (frame reordering on), using whatever frame
rate you shot in.
For sound, use AAC at 128kbps in stereo.
Access a code and embed it on your website, wiki or blog.
