United never got going in this game and it was the visitors who
were the better team from the start. The homeside were luckey not

to the break.
The second half was not much different for Youghal with
Brideview still bossing the game and two goals in seven minutes
put the game out of United’s reach. The boys did get a late goal to
put a bit of respect on the scoreline but on the day Brideview were

information. AVR’s February fuss.
AVR management will doubtless feel relief that false blame has
been lifted from their operations. The company opted to remain
silent following the recent accusations, though it had conceded
that emissions had been detected at the plant last February. That
the EPA’s subsequent report was not publicly aired did not help to
avert subsequent suspicion against AVR.
As it transpires, last February’s inspection found two incidences of
non-compliance. One involved an access door leading directly
from the sludge drying area being left open, to facilitate a tempo-
rary pipe carrying cooling water out of the building towards a
storm water drain. It had been open "for some time", contrary to
providing "a fully enclosed sludge drying building" as required.
Secondly, an unplanned shutdown of the plant had occurred at
8.30 a.m. on 19th February, the morning of the inspection.
Management claimed the shutdown had caused odour release but
did not report it to the EPA until February 21st, which was also
non-compliant. Though not regarded as non-compliant, further
note was taken of the following:

Today we light a candle who died on the 8th October 2007
And say a special prayer
We take a trip down memory lane
With tearful eyes we watched you
And know that you are there. And saw you slip away,
This is your annivsary Dad Although we loved you dearly
You would not want a fuss We knew you could not stay.
Just to be remembered It broke our hearts to lose you
And loved by all of us. But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you
Lovingly remembered by wife Agnes, daughters,

battle is always on the cards for the honour of lifting this much
sought after piece of annual silverware. But would the recent
week’s rainfall and a harbour teeming with mackerel affect the
expected catches of flounder and possible bass?
From the outset angling was slow with only a few flounder caught
in the first hour. New member Clinton Rachman forged an early
lead with three flounder but was closely followed by Jamie Santry
with two. As high water approached the action slowed a little but
some lads managed a few single fish. Brendan Regan undoubted-
ly landed the biggest surprise of the day in the form of a 2‰lb gilt-
head bream, a species rarely found in Youghal Harbour. A first for
the Bass Club and indeed for Brendan, well done to him!
As the tide dropped away for the last hour local angler Mark
Fleming put in a late surge landing two flounder in quick succes-
sion to add to his earlier one. However it was not enough as
Clinton has been catching regularly and ran out easy winner with
six flounder. Jamie was second with four and Mark third with
three. Prizes on the day were once again superb and the club
would like to thank sponsors Broderick & Gallogley Tiling

or wood. Circulating air is drawn through a filter that helps rid the
house of dust and other particles.Gas and oil furnaces have a pilot
light that warms a heat exchange unit, which in turn warms the air
before it is circulated back through the house. These furnaces have
a flue where exhaust gases vent to the outside. An electric furnace
uses heating strips, or elements, to warm the air.
A wood or coal furnace has a sealed firebox where the fuel is
burned, and a heat exchanger where air is warmed before delivery.
Metal vents that allow warmed air to escape from the system and
into the house are usually found in the floors or on walls in living Authorised ESSO Distributors for
