Part II

a. SDG III – Good Health and Well Being

Good health is essential to sustainable development. The importance
of promoting health and well-being is due to the increasing rate of
morbidity and mortality from health problems, illness and chronic
disease. Health is not just the absence of disease, we should view
health as holistic – it is a complete physical, mental, and social well-being. The citizens of
Barangay Bayalse should have check-ups and provide them the medications they need such
as supplements. Hospitals near their area should also be established. When it comes to
mental and social well-being, the organization should provide activities such as art
trainings, interactive games etc.

b. SDG IV – Quality Education

Quality education promotes life-long opportunities for all.
The citizens of barangay bayalse should have a right for
education. Trainings and seminars for the parents and
adults should offer for them. Their knowledge should not be limited by how to fish or
farm. They should also learn and have an education where they can access other fields be
employed. Alternative Learning System (ALTS) or the Technical Education and Skills
Development Authority (TESDA) and other organizations should work hand-in-hand to
promoted education to those who cannot afford education. Education should not end in
classrooms, skills and ingenuity should also be taught

c. SDG V – Gender Equality

Through this goal, discrimination and other forms of violence
against women should end. A country’s economic growth should
not rely just by the power of the men but for the power of all. No
society can develop – economically, politically, or socially – when half of its
population is marginalized. We must leave no one behind.

3. How would you apply your learnings to your community?

By disseminating information and taking action of giving knowledge of how important

environment is in achieving sustainable society. It is our life support system and we must take it
as a responsibility of protecting our environment. Making them aware perhaps can create
concern and efforts from them. Little efforts can create massive difference.

By reducing plastic waste and how should we properly dispose or segregate waste. In our
everyday actions and decisions are positively or negatively affecting our environment so we
must be responsible. We can be the hands that can destroy and we can be the hands that can help
– and I choose the latter.
