Interface Event Plan

SIMULATION-X

OVERVIEW
This event is based upon virtual simulation that tests the decision-making skills of the team. The
teams are put in charge of a growing business and are asked to manage the firm for a certain period
of time, with limited resources they are expected to take decisions across all functional
departments. This helps in creating a basic understanding of the operations world and to establish a
connection between various elements of value chain. Participants can register in the event as a team
of 2-3 members

The event will consist of two rounds explained as follows:-

ROUND 1: CREATIVE THINKING

First round will be a quiz based round in which 30 questions will be given where each team has to
use SIX THINKING HATS (think outside the box) to answer each question. Each question carries 1
mark. This will be qualifying round for Round-2 which will be held on-campus.

ROUND 2: SIMULATION-X
The teams shortlisted through round 1 will be faced by a challenging real-world business simulation
in which they will be asked to operate a firm and maintain its various operations for a period of time.
The teams will be judged on the decision-making skills and the growth of their businesses.

COO CHALLENGE

A perfect platform to showcase the future COO in you. This will give a chance to show your
competitive skills by giving us the best solution for the Case studies. Participate and get a chance to
win amazing Cash Prizes and Certificates. Participants can register in the event as a team of 2-3
members
The event will consist of two rounds explained as follows:

ROUND 1: Online Case Study Competition

• Teams will be provided with an online case study related to operations management field
where the participants has to solve the questions attached with the case study
• 3 questions will be provided each carrying 10 points
• This will be qualifying round for Round-2 which will be held on-campus.
ROUND 2: Solution Seekers
• In this round a company will be given to each team which is not performing well due to the
inefficiency in their operations and they have to come up with innovative solutions as the
COO of that company for its revival in this competitive business world.
• The participants have to make a presentation of 10 minutes and present the solution by
coming here on campus.

MONEYBALL

Moneyball is all about making best deals consecutively in a series of bids. . It’s a highly competitive
virtual bidding event. A virtual cricket auction in which details of Cricket players will be shown on
screen one by one for bidding round and participants will be asked to make a team of their own
choice keeping in mind the given constraints, this event will help participants to foster into the era of
making strategical decisions.
Participants can register in the event as a team of 2-3 members
