Summary Outline

The Article discusses guidelines and several techniques for effective writing. It was
divided into five important points which are choosing of claim, organization of the Article,
Techniques in writing, Convertion of Practical Work, and Lastly the importance of
Publishing.

To elaborate further, the author discussed that in choosing a claim there are
requirements so that an article will be effective and original. Such requirements are as
follows : It should make a claim; second the claim must be novel, non-obvious, and useful.
Such requirement is not only for the writer but the reader should also see it as novel, non-
obvious and useful for it to be effective.

It is also discussed that the Article should be organized so that the reader may
understand immediately its thought. According to the author an organized article should have
Introduction, a well explained Background Facts and Legal Doctrines, Proof of the writers claim,
and the Conclusion should summarize the entire thought of the article or the message it wants to
convey.

According to the author before an Article becomes final and well-written it must go
through several drafts. When drafting it must be check and recheck not only the grammar bu its
logic. The author reiterated that in checking, the writer must also ask an opinion of a professor or
language editor or a colleague to recheck the work as well.
 The author gave a note worthy tip, which is Converting Practical work. The author
stated that Writing an article from scratch can be a daunting proposition. In his article
he suggesed that the writer can save time and worry by adapting a work which he/she
previously or originally wrote for another purpose and just strip away those things that
are unsuitabe and he added that it should be Deepen, Broaden and must Connect to the
topic chosen.

Lastly, the author discussed the good effects of publishing. According to the author

publishing can get a valuable credential and that writing an article related to legal may

help improve laws or even may be used as basis for jurisprudence whic some foreign

courts adopt.

techniques and style. It can serve as a guideline to construct a legal paper. The techniques
and styles can be applied in making thesis, term paper or even refelction paper.

It can help in my law career becausea lawyer should be an expert in writing a logical
