Preface
In this guide, we assume that you have the demo version or purchased Process Runner from Magnitude
Software, Inc. and are primarily responsible for the installation and maintenance of it.
We welcome your input on the quality, accuracy, and usefulness of this document. Please send your

Magnitude Support
The website of Magnitude Support provides the latest information about Magnitude products, and is
updated regularly. Visit the website if you have any questions or experience a problem during
installation or operation of your Magnitude products.
Introduction
Innowera Process Runner is a new generation SAP automation tool. Primary function of Process Runner
is to upload and download data between Microsoft Excel and SAP. Process Runner can run almost any
SAP R/3 Transaction, Business API (BAPI) or Remote Function module (RFM) and load data from Excel to
SAP without any ABAP programming or coding. This document explains the instructions for installing
Process Runner.
Before you install Process Runner, make sure that the following prerequisites are met:
l Make sure that your computer meets the system requirement of the Process Runner application.
For information about the system requirements, see Innowera Process Runner Release Notes.
l Download the Process Runner setup from
https://www.innowera.com/sap-data-download.php
l Extract the components of the setup file.
4. Accept the default destination folder or select Browse, navigate to the folder location, select the
destination folder, and select Next. The Installation Type page appears with the Full Installation
check box selected by default.
6. If you want to create a Process Runner shortcut on your desktop, accept the default option, and
then select Next. The Ready to Install page appears.
7. Select Install to start the installation process. The installation process starts, and the status of the
installation appears. After the installation process is complete, the Completing the Innowera
Process Runner Setup Wizard page appears with the Launch Process Runner check box selected
by default.
Note: By default, the Process Runner setup installs the required version of Microsoft .NET
Framework if your computer does not contain it.
To upgrade Process Runner, perform the steps 1 through 8 mentioned in the Install Innowera Process
Runner section. However, while upgrading, make sure that you select the path of the Process Runner
installation folder that you want to upgrade.
Note:
l You may install more than one version of Process Runner on the same computer. However, we
recommend you to not install more than one version of Process Runner on the same computer.
l While installing a side-by-side version of Process Runner, you must provide a different path to the
“Destination Location” during installation.
l While installing a side-by-side version of Process Runner, on the Select Additional Tasks page, if
you select the Create a desktop shortcut check box, the Process Runner shortcut on your desktop
points to the new version of Process Runner. To allow the Process Runner shortcut on the
desktop to point to the old (existing) version, you must clear the Create a desktop shortcut check
box.
l All the side-by-side versions of Process Runner will use the same license file.
l All the side-by-side versions of Process Runner will use the same settings (Options). A change in
the settings for one version of Process Runner is applicable to all the side-by-side versions of the
application installed on the computer.
l To use the old (existing) version of Process Runner, run the ProR.exe application into its
installation folder.
1. In the <installation_folder>, run unins000.exe. The Innowera Process Runner Uninstall dialog
box appears.
2. Select Yes to initiate the uninstallation process. Once the uninstallation is complete, the Innowera
Process Runner Uninstall page confirms the successful uninstallation of the application.
3. Select OK to exit the wizard.
License Management
Overview
This chapter provides information about how to send license details from Innowera Process Runner and
how to activate, and transfer/remove the license.
1. Open Innowera Process Runner, and go to Help > About. The About page appears with the license
information.
2. Select Copy Info. The Innowera Process Runner dialog box appears with options to copy the
license information.
3. If your computer has Microsoft Outlook installed, perform step a, otherwise step b:
4. Select E-mail to copy the Process Runner license details to your Outlook email, and send it to
license@innowera.com.
5. Select Copy. The Copy Information dialog box appears. Select OK to copy the license information
to the clipboard, paste the information in your email, and then send it to license@innowera.com.
You can active the Process Runner license by one of the following ways:
2. Select Activate Product. The Innowera License Activation page appears with the Activate Online
option selected by default.
1. Go to Process Runner > Manage License to start license activation process. The Innowera License
Activation page appears.
2. Optionally, select Change License Info to edit the following information:
l Company Name: The name of your company
l Display Name: The name displayed when Process Runner starts.
Note: The License Key information remains same when you extend your existing Process
Runner license.
3. After you confirm the license details available on the page, select Next, select the Confirm above
information and activate product license check box, and then select Finish.
4. Select OK to extend the existing Process Runner license.
1. Go to Process Runner > Manage License to start license activation process. The Innowera License
Activation page appears.
2. Select Change License Info and edit the following license information:
l Company Name: The name of your company.
l Display Name: The name displayed when Process Runner starts.
l License Key: Innowera Process Runner license key.
3. After you confirm the license details available on the page, select Next, select the Confirm above
information and activate product license check box, and then select Finish.
4. Select OK to activate the new license key.
6. Enter your details, upload the LicInfoToUpload.xml file, enter the displayed captcha, and
select Submit. You will receive a license activation request notification in the email address that
you had provided. After that, you will receive an email with the Process Runner license along with
the installation steps.
7. Save the license in your computer and perform the license installation steps mentioned in the
email.
1. Start Innowera Process Runner and go to Help > About. The About page appears.
Note: If your license had expired, when you start the Process Runner application, it directly
opens on the About page.
Note: You will receive your license information within two US working days. After you get
your license information, install the license in your computer. For information about
activating a Process Runner license, see Activate Process Runner License.
Typically Process Runner licenses have dedicated user or computer and you cannot transfer it to another
user or computer. However, with special instructions from Magnitude, or if you purchase transferable
licenses, you may transfer license from:
l User to user
l Computer to computer
Important: Do not proceed with the license transfer if the license is “Floating”, “Concurrent”, or
“Named”. In such case, we recommend you contact your internal license manager.
3. Select the Deactivate Online option and then select Next. The Innowera Process Runner dialog
box appears saying that Process Runner cannot run on your system and whether you still want to
remove the license.
5. To ensure that the Process Runner is not accidentally removed, enter the captcha “rEmoVE” in the
box and your password.
Note: For the password, send an email to license@innowera.com along with a screenshot
of Help > About. Also, the passwords are case-sensitive.
6. Enter the password as received from Magnitude, and select OK. The Remove License dialog box
appears to confirm the license deactivation.
7. Select Yes, select the Confirm above information and deactivate product license check box, and
then select Finish. The Product Activation dialog box appears.
Note: You can manually deactivate Process Runner if you have trouble during deactivating
Process Runner online. For information about deactivating Process Runner license manually, see
Manual Deactivation.
Manual Deactivation
This section provides information on how to manually deactivate Process Runner from computers.
Before you manually deactivate the Process Runner license, make sure that you do the following:
1. Run Innowera License Removal.exe. The Innowera- Remove License page appears.
2. Select Yes. The Remove License (Process Runner) – Confirmation page appears.
3. To make sure that the Process Runner is not accidentally removed, enter the captcha “rEmoVE” in
the box and your password.
Note: For the password, send an email to license@innowera.com along with a screenshot
of Help > About. Also, the passwords are case-sensitive.
4. After Process Runner license is successfully deactivated, you will get a license removal
confirmation key.
5. Select Copy Key, paste the Process Runner license key in an email, and send it to
license@innowera.com.
6. Select Close to exit from Process Runner.
First, you must install the required version of Process Runner on your new computer, if your computer
does not have it. For more information about installing Process Runner, see Installing Process Runner.
Next, you must activate the Process Runner license on your new computer. For more information about
activating the Process Runner license, see Activate Process Runner License.
After you deactivate your license, you must send an email to license@innowera.com with a screenshot of
Help > About of the Process Runner installed on the new computer and the license that you have
deactivated and want to transfer to the new computer. Magnitude support resets the activation
parameters, such as the computer id and user id in the Process Runner license, after which you can
activate the license in the new computer.
For information about transferring “Seat” Process Runner licenses from one user to another, contact
Magnitude Support.
Note: Whenever you download the Process Runner setup from the Innowera webpage after a
license transfer or removal, you must provide your email address and mention the reason as
license transfer or removal.
