1. Color Numbers given are “Dulux Synthetic Enamel” paint from ICI PAINTS (PAK) LTD.
2. 3 Nos. Color coding Bands shall be provided on white color base at every 10Ft to 15Ft intervals of pipe length.
Size of Letters, Width of band & Space between bands will be according to table given below.
3. Reference: ASME A13.1 - 2007 Scheme for the Identification of Piping Systems and some colors are chosen /
defined by the owner (based on standard practice). This is intended to establish a common system to assist in
identification of hazardous materials conveyed in piping systems and their hazards when released in the
environment. Identification of contents of piping systems is recommended for the industrial power plants,
commercial & institutional installations and in buildings used for public assembly.
