The Programme
YEA Group is pleased to announce Four day training programme on Laboratory Management & Internal Audit as per
ISO / IEC 17025:2017 for NABL accreditation from 24th to 27th April 2019 at Kolkata.

Background
ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard describes General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
It is applicable to all organizations performing tests and/or calibration including sampling. This standard is applicable to
first, second and third party laboratory carrying out tests and / or calibration. This international standard is for use by
laboratories in developing their management system for quality, administration and technical operations.

This programme will enable participants understand the requirements of all clauses of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for personnel
competency and lab capability that are to be implemented and maintained by laboratories intending to generate testing
and or calibration report / certificate acceptable by customers nationally and internationally.
Course complies for the mandatory NABL requirements for training of Quality Managers in laboratories

Details
This course is designed for senior laboratory personnel involved in the management and establishment of laboratory
quality systems, and internal audit programmes for their laboratories as required by NABL Criteria & International
Standard ISO/IEC 17025. The course shall cover:

a) An understanding of ISO/IEC 17025. Group discussion and case studies are special features.
b) Developing and understanding on quality system documentation for the laboratory. It would include training on developing
quality manual and procedures etc.

c) Management of equipment, calibration, traceability, measurement uncertainty, environment, test methods,

test items, safety, quality control, records and reports etc.
d) Techniques of conducting internal audit and reporting of the internal audit findings.
e) Management review and its contents.

On completion, participants will be able to:

a) Establish an internal audit programme as required in NABL Criteria.

b) Schedule, plan, conduct, report on lab internal audits (including the documentation required).
c) Identify effective auditing techniques.
d) Develop and implement a quality system, compatible with ISO/IEC 17025.
The fee for the above programme is Rs 12000/- plus 18% GST per participant (non-residential basis),
which covers cost of course material, Tea/coffee and lunch.

Background:
Indian Industry has come of age in practicing quality since the quality movement started in 1987. In order to achieve more
business success in open market Indian Industry is following Total Quality Management (TQM) approach.

For adopting TQM, the manufacturing sector has to establish an efficient and effective control in measurement system
that includes Laboratory Measurement System. This results in production of products with lesser and lesser rejection
and more acceptances to customers.

In order to establish a control on measurement system in the laboratory ISO / IEC has brought out a standard ISO/IEC
17025:2017 for developing competence and carry out tests and / or calibration including sampling. This standard
covers testing and calibration using standard methods, non-standard methods and laboratory development methods.

Eligibility Criteria:
ITI / Diploma / Bachelors / Masters degree in Engineering / Science with relevant work experience in the field of
measurement either in maintenance, inspection, testing / calibration laboratories or QA, Laboratory MR, Technical
Manager, Personnel carrying out testing / calibration.

Course Fee:
• Rs.12000.00 plus 18% GST per participant.
• Accommodation will be arranged if required at extra cost.
• 10% discount on fee for 3 or more participation from one organization.
