opt to accept quoted offer price by LepasKunci (if any). The subsequent starting bid
price (for the 1st and 2nd rebidding) will be a 10% diminished value based on the
previous starting bid price per session.

What is the process of the inspection appointment?

Give your inspector-in-charge a call when you arrive for your inspection. The whole appointment shall not take
longer than 20 minutes. One of our certified and professional inspectors will conduct a thorough 50-point
inspection of your bike, which includes a short road test. The road drive helps us to determine the realistic value
of your bike. Photos will also be taken for record and reporting purposes.
We will offer you a price to buy your bike on the spot. If our offer appeals to you and you agree to sell to us, we
will complete all the necessary paperwork for the sale and pay you via online transfer within 24 hours. Should
you decide to try for online bidding, we'll schedule your bike up for a 3hour bidding* amongst our Verified Used
Bike Dealers network - of which the reserve price will be discussed and agreed upon between LepasKunci and
yourself prior to the live bidding session.
Effective 1st July 2020, LepasKunci will have 1 Bidding Sessions: 5pm to 8pm from Mondays to Saturdays.

How can you view your bids?
You will receive an email or SMS to view your live bidding for your bike. Here are the
steps:

1. Click on the link sent to you and enter your email as the username.
2. Proceed to setting up your own password (It requires at least 8 characters, with 1
capital letter, 1 numeric and symbol each).
3. Log in successfully to view the bid.

What happens when my bike does not receive any bids?

You have 2 options:

(a)  Accept our initial offer within 2 days from the inspection date.
(b) If your car did not receive any bids from the first session from 5pm to 8pm, it will be automatically
scheduled for the next following day bidding session.  The subsequent starting bid price will be a 10%
diminished value based on the previous starting bid price per session. Should there be no bids after the
2nd attempt and you would still want to proceed with a sale, we recommend contacting the inspector in
charge. Please note that our offered price may differ depending on the situation.

What happens after i agree to sell my bike?
You will need to release the bike to us within 2 days from the day you agreed to
accept our offer or bid price. Our staff will contact you to arrange for:

 collection of original registration card (RC) or original vehicle ownership

certificate (VOC)
 ownership transfer with thumbprint
 approved permit (AP) - Form 1, Form 8, Form 69 for reconditioned vehicle
only
 cash invoice

If we have not received any of these documents, we will hold 30% of the selling price
as collateral pending completion.

What do I need to prepare for ownership transfer?

We will handle all the required paperwork, remaining loan settlements with the bank/credit
company and the final payment will be made directly to your bank account via online
transfer. We will require the following documents for ownership transfer.

· NRIC (or passport for non-Malaysians)

· Bike registration card
· Spare keys (if any)
· Outstanding hire purchase loan statement (if any)
· Approved Permit (AP) (for reconditioned bikes only)
What if my bike registration card is with the bank/credit company?
If you were to attend the inspection without the bike grant, you'll have to send a
photocopy to the inspector in charge after the inspection if you want to proceed with
bidding/transaction.

What if my road tax expired?

If the road tax has expired for more than 1 year, you will have to renew first, or else we do
not take in the car for inspection. Also, for road safety reasons, we do not want you to get in
trouble with the authorities when you drive on the road without a valid road tax.

How do you calculate the price for my bike?

Our experience in buying in used bike as well as our comprehensive market
knowledge & data mining allow us to build a proprietary tool to evaluate bikes
realistically.
Our on-site assessment by our skilled professionals allows us to give you a realistic
and fair offer. We guarantee to buy any bike we evaluate - so in case you choose to
accept our offer, you can immediately sell your bike to us and the entire process is
managed by us.
If you choose to put your bike up for bidding, we'll set a reserve price (which is
communicated and agreeable by you prior to bidding) and schedule your car up for
3h bidding.

What if my outstanding finance is higher than the bike value?

There are two ways to go about this:

 If the outstanding finance is higher than our offered price, we will still offer to
buy your bike. You can pay the shortfall by cash or cheque to the bank.
 If the outstanding finance is lower than our offered price, we'll settle the
amount with the bank and pay you the balance via online transfer.
Do you buy bikes owned by non-Malaysian citizens?
 Yes we do. However, the process differs from LepasKunci’s standard procedures.
 Due to the recent policy changes by the JPJ (Road and Transport Department of Malaysia),
non-Malaysian car owners are first required to clear any outstanding loans with the bank
and provide a Puspakom B5 report before the vehicle goes into LepasKunci’s bidding
platform.
 The following process of ownership transfer also must be carried out at JPJ’s centre, where
the customer’s biometric fingerprint will be officially recorded before final payment is made.

Do you buy bikes registered under Police or Army ID?

 Yes we do. The operating process for this follows our standard procedures. However, owners
with vehicles registered under Police or Army ID are required to update their ID to the
standard 12-digit NRIC number before proceeding.
 Do you buy bikes that are registered outside Malaysia?
 At the moment, we only buy bikes registered in Malaysia, except Labuan & Langkawi.

Can I sell a bike on behalf of a family member or friend?

 No.  You are only able to bring the bike for inspection at our office without the owner being
present; however, we will require the owner to be present for ownership transfer (since
thumbprint is involved) during transaction.

Can I sell a bike on behalf of a company?

 Yes. We need you to bring along the following:

- A form of photo identification for the person bringing the car.

- Letter signed from the company director giving authorisation for that person to sell on their
behalf.
- Company account details e.g. company bank statement.
