Group coursework

Select one of the following company listed in Bursa Malaysia and study its annual report. Then
write a report on the listed company based on the following:
a) Identify and describe the sources of financing used by the company. Explain the differences
between short term and long term financing.
b) Analyse and explain capital structure.
c) Explain gearing, liquidity and profitable ratios (total 4 ratios) of the company over a period of
three (3) previous years by identifying trend and determining financial risks of company.
d) Identify systematic risks and non-systematic risks of company
e) select one company from the following list: Adventa Bhd, Ajiya Bhd, Bonia Corporation Bhd,
Caring Pharmacy Group Bhd CCK Consolidated Holdings Bhd, Dialog Group Bhd, Freight
Management Holding Bhd, GD Express Carrier Bhd , Hartalega Holdings Bhd, JHM
Consolidation Bhd, Kelington Group Bhd, Mentiga Corporation Bhd and Thong Guan
Industries Bhd.

Notes to Students

1. For the Group Coursework, the maximum is 6 students to a group.

2. Students are to use Citation and Harvard referencing in this assignment.

3. The coursework should be type written using Times New Roman font (size 12) with line
spacing of 1.5. Use simple binding and no need for plastic cover. The number of words
should not exceed 2,000 (Group-1,400 words and Individual-600 words)

4. Students are to submit a Group Member Appraisal form to ensure total participation of each
member and a plagiarism statement. It is compulsory to submit your assignments to
Safeassign. Please double check you work before you upload to Safeassign. Your
Safeassign result is final and cannot be deleted. The similarity in should not exceed
15%.
5. Be mindful of plagiarism. Referencing and bibliography are expected if any part of your
assignment is borrowed from any particular source. You may be penalized for non-
referencing to the source. Please fill up plagiarism statement form and attach it with your
report.

6. The deadline for submission of your coursework is 1st August 2019 (week 10)

7. Feedback on coursework will be 2-3 weeks after submission.

8. Format of coursework:
