Long ago, there was a very rich man, He lived
in a fantastic house full of treasures. Then a
terrible war began. The man was forced to flee his
home. He wouldn't be able to bring all of his
treasures with him!
“Thave bad luck” he thought, Then he had
an idea,
The man had his servants melt down all of
his silver. They melted forks, spoons, and
candlesticks. Even the most beautiful jewelry
‘was melted! All that was left was a big pot of
liquid silver
‘Then the man had his servants pour the
silver into a mole
“Ooh one of them exclaimed, “the mold
is shaped like a big fish!”
“I's beautifull” cried another.‘The man hid the silver fish behind a wall in his house.
He planned to return for it someday. Then he left.
‘Many years passed, but the man never returned. Over
time, the house beeame run-down. The woman who
‘owned it was very poor. She could not afford to repair it.
Eventually, the city leaders told her to tear down the old q
house.
“Its ugly and unsafe, they said
‘The woman felt doomed. “Where am I going to live?”
she wondered.
As the workers tore down the house, they found the
silver fish, They gave it to the woman,
“What good luck I have!” thought the woman.
She sold the silver fish and was able to build a
new house.
‘That is the tale of the silver fish. Sometimes
the bad luck of one person can become the
