A tall tale is a story about make-believe
characters. This tall tale is about two very tiny
heroes, Tyler‘and Ramén, and their cowboy friend,
Wrangler Rob.
Tyler and Ramén had just arrived in Texas. They
planned to visit their friend, Wrangler Rob, who had the
sgreenest pasture in Texas. As they approached his ranch,
they heard a loud rumbling noise.
“Good golly, I reckon that’s an earthquake!”
shouted ‘Tyler
“That's no earthquake? Ramén shouted back. “That’s a
stampede! Wrangler Rob’s cows are headed straight for that
cliff We have to rescue them!”

asked Tyler.
“Wrangler Rob's horse, Stas is as
quick as lightning, He'll help us. said
Ramén. “But we better run!”
When ‘Tyler and Ramén arrived,
huffing and puffing, they found Star
nibbling on some hay. He didn’t notice
them as they climbed up and into his ears
“Hurry.” panted Rainén into Stars right
car, “You have to stop the stampede!”
“Lead the cows away from the cliff
shouted Tyler into Star’s let ear
Star whinnied and took off. He raced
up and down the rolling green hills
Finally, he rounded up the cows and brought them back. i:

Wrangler Rob came out of the house as Star was
herding the last cow into the pen. “Whoo-wee! You're one
smart horse, Star! You saved my cows,” said Wrangler Rob,
He grinned with pride and gave Star a juicy red apple.
Star took the treat and lowered his head. Ramén
and ‘Tyler jumped out of the horse's ears and high-
