Dear Sir or Madam,

With this letter I would like to express my interest in applying to Data Analyst position within International
Committee of the Red Cross.

ICRC is well known organization and with what cause. So, this as starting point was enough to tickle my mind and to
think about the Cause. But, where I’ve started thinking about career in ICRC is on my studies (Logistics at Faculty of
Transport and Traffic Engineering) when it was mentioned as example of well-connected and ubiquitous company,
capable of reaching the most isolated, remote and inaccessible places in the World. It was a perfect example of
logistics model, which can interconnect with almost every country, area or company, to deliver its product, whatever
it might be. Years have passed, and my career evolved from logistics officer to analyst, then into business and data
analytics. In one of mid-steps/transition points when I got interested and involved in BI and data analytics, I attended
interview at ICRC regarding Logistics position (May 2019). It was one of the most pleasant job interview experiences I
had. In the talk with ladies from HR and Logistics department, we quickly agreed that position I applied was not
something that would be interesting for me, and they kind of encouraged me and directed to stay on track with what
is actually fulfilling me and driving further in professional sense. I knew I should stay in data analytics and BI, and that
I should keep improving skills related to it. I also decided that I will follow up job openings at ICRC and wait for
perfect position. Even though I’m currently satisfied with new company and job I’m doing, I had to apply to Data
Analyst position at ICRC. Main reason is rooted in my feeling from that day I was at interview. After that moment I
could easily picture myself as part of this great organization which could help me grow and in return, I would invest
myself along with my knowledge and skills.

As mentioned, I graduated from Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering, module Logistics. I quickly got
interested in analytics and became aware of importance of good and valid data. It started with desire to ease
everyday work and quickly developed in passion for data. I started developing Excel Macros, creating numerus
reports created “with one click of the button”. I’ve built many data scraping macros and models that simplifies,
accelerates, and above all makes data more useful. I specialized in forecasting, developing forecast models in various
fields, that are being used by management in crucial business decision making and directly impacting budgeting. I’m
involved in creation of annual plans, setting of quarterly and monthly targets. On daily basis, I analyze, identify and
interpret patterns and trends that describe business and ease decision making. Comfortable with use of Tableau and
SQL. Also, I recognized how important is knowledge of programing language, so I started learning Python, still novice
level but I’m dedicated in mastering it. More than everything, I’m dedicated to learning and improving myself. I Think
ICRC is company where I can reach full potential and I can imagine my future alongside with you.

Can’t wait to hear from you, and hope we’ll soon meet again at your Belgrade office.

Kind regards,

Stefan Milanović
