About 75 years old, Mirzapur Market is situated in Ahmedabad city. Mirzapur Market is on mirzapur road
which is attached to Kasturba Gandhi road. Mirzapur market is near to very historical place ³SIDI SAYED
MOSQUE´ .

It spread across in five sq. km. area. Mirzapur market is spread across 1.5 to 2.0 sq. km area. Mirzapur
market has 350 to 400 shops. Mirzapur market has number of skilled persons and workers for the
mechanical works. It is huge market for second hand cars, scooter and Moter-cycles. Mirzapur Market is
also famous for its Accessories of two and four wheelers. It is large market for its specialized
mechanism for body modification of two and four wheelers.

In Mirzapur market, Most of Muslim workers are worked as foreman for Engineering, Repairing and

Mirzapur is one of the oldest automobile markets in Ahmedabad. Mainly, market deals in automobile
sector; it includes selling of bike, car, auto parts, accessories and etc. Market is mainly catered by
Muslim, Sindhi, Gujarati and Marwadi communities but Muslim community have more number of shops
than any other.

Market is totally structured because all the shops are well organised, there is no any vendors and laadi
wala¶s. All the shop¶s owners have sales tax number & they are paying all kind of tax.

Market is near to perfect competition because there are lots of numbers of seller and buyer, if one
seller& buyer exist and enter in the market it does not affect the overall market, buyers have veto power,

rickshaw, Mahindra body parts & accessories. He took shop on rent rupees 10,000 and timing of his
shop is 10am to 7pm. He is a distributor and wholesaler of all kind of cars, rickshaw, Mahindra body
parts & accessories, he purchased his material from kanodar(Gujarat), he distributes auto parts to all
over the Gujarat. He gives replacement guarantee if there is any problem occur in any auto parts within
three months. He pays all kind of tax & he has sale tax number, he has his own agent for supplying auto
parts. He has one helper which is his relative and one worker, he pays 3500 rupees to him.

Mr. Ayub bhai has started his shop ten years ago in Mirzapur, he mainly deals in line work and he is

start from 100 rs onwards, the price range lie between 100 to 1200 rs.

established in 1956 by the father of Imran Ansari, Mr.Farug Ansari.

The working time of New National Auto Consult is 10a.m. to 9p.m. During our visit at New National Auto
Consult , we saw second hand vechicle like CBZ Xtreme2007 model, Apache-2008 model and Karizma-
2008 model, Activa-2009 model.
(4) Sonal Auto Corporation

Mirzapur. Ahmedabad.

The founder of Sonal Auto Corporation is Keser .p. patil. And now, Owner of the shop is
Harishbhai.k.patil Who is the son of keser.p.patil.

Keser bhai started this shop since 1960.there are four employees working in to the shop with 5000rs
salary per month. Sonal Auto Corporation is mainly focus on retail business. Timing of the shop is
9:30a.m. to 7:00p.m. There are fix number of customers who purchase the parts of two wheelers and
four-wheelers around the Ahmedabad. Stock and Parts are coming from the Naroda and Rajkot
industries. They also dealing in the branded companies parts and machinery. Minimum margin in the

Workers working in the shop. One is computer specialist and another is owner himself. They have a
