Content Standard:

The learner demonstrates of how Anglo-American literature and other text types
serve as a means of connecting to the world; also how to use ways of analyzing
one-act play and different forms of verbals for him/her to skillfully perform in a one
act play.

Performance Standard:

The learner skillfully performs in one-act play through utilizing effective verbal and
non-verbal strategies and ICT resources based on the following criteria: Focus,
voice, Delivery, and Dramatic Conventions.

I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to attain at least
80% of the following:

a. recall the definition, function, types/kinds of Adjectives;

b. share their own examples of Adjectives; and

c. express meaningful sentences/paragraph by following the basic

rules in arranging adjectives in a series.

II. SUBJECT MATTER:

III. LEARNING PROCEDURE

A. Motivation

“SENSE-itive”

The teacher will call 10 students in front. Each student shall be


assigned with a body sense (sight, taste, smell, touch, hearing),
afterwards students who aren’t assigned with the sense of sight shall
be blindfolded. The teacher will bring out objects (Pictures, Candies,
Perfume, Toys, and a Metal Tray. Each student will describe the object
that is designated with the sense assigned to them.

Afterwards, the teacher will ask the class what part of speech
does the words used by their classmates belong to.

B. Activity

“DRAW ME”

The teacher will present a word in front of the class and will ask
the students to imagine that object. The teacher will then ask them
to describe it, by giving its color, size, and an opinion of what it
looks like, the age of their imagined object, etc. The teacher will
then list these adjectives down and ask one student to draw the
object based on the different adjectives given by his/her classmate
to describe it.

C. Analysis

After presenting the Learner’s objectives to the students


the teacher will now present the connection of the first two
activities to their lesson, the teacher will ask them what part of
speech describes, through which their chosen word belongs.
The teacher will then proceed to the discussion of the topic
which is all about adjectives. The teacher will make use of the
following outline.

 Definition of Adjectives

Adjectives are words that describe the qualities or states of


being of nouns; they can also describe the quantity of nouns.

 Types of adjectives

In general, the two main types of adjectives are

 Descriptive adjectives describe quality of the noun.


 Attributive
 Predicate
 Limiting adjectives limit the noun being described.
 Definite & Indefinite Articles
 Possessive Adjectives
 Demonstrative Adjectives
 Interrogative Adjectives
 Indefinite Adjectives
 Cardinal Adjectives
 Ordinal Adjectives
 Proper Adjectives
 Nouns Used as Adjectives

 The teacher will present a short video that tackles the pattern
of adjectives at the same time the students shall be given an
activity sheet that they would be answering as they watch the
video.

1. What is the noun being described?

2. What are the words used to describe the noun?

3. How are the multiple adjectives sequenced in the


sentence?

 The class will check their answers on the activity sheet as the
teacher goes on to discuss their answers.

D. Abstraction

The students will answer the following questions

1. What are adjectives?

2. What is the formula in the sequence of adjectives?

3. What is the importance of having the proper order of


adjectives in a sentence?

E. Application

The teacher will ask one student to randomly draw out an object
from his/her bag and ask the other students to give adjectives that
would describe that random object. The teacher will nominate one
student and will ask the student to call forth (5) five of his/her closest
friends in the class. The teacher will then proceed to ask them to
describe the student who was nominated. Lastly, the teacher will
present a picture for the student to describe by giving out various
adjectives.

IV. Evaluation

The class will be divided into 5 groups. The teacher will then
present a picture of a scene and the students will be tasked to write a
one-paragraph story applying what they have learned about the
proper order of adjectives.

IV. Agreement

The students are tasked to have an advanced reading on Theater


Territory.
