Abstract
Mahabharata epic dates back about 5200 years. It is called fifth veda.
It is treasure of Indian Management concepts and practices. Vishnu
Sahastranam as recited by Bhishma Pitamaha is found in Anushashan
Parva of the epic. It gives Role Model of Global Leadership. According
to it Global Leader must lead world community to the realization of
global goals/ mission of employment, justice to all, protecter of wealth
as well as entrencher of world community. His command should be
respected by all. Special qualities of such a leader will be glow,
courage, knowledge, logic, command over global resources. He must
have pure soul and serene mind. He must have effective
communication skills, quality of head and heart and will power. He
must be a prompt, fair and equitable distributor of gains, enforcer of
discipline and practitioner of ethics. He must have control over anger,
free from ego and invincible. He must be good distributor of work,
committed to achieve excellence and rich in resources.
