ANNEXURE 'J'
SCHEDULE
1. KEY DATES
Note:- The Effective Date shall be the date of the Facsimile/Letter of Award #
SD/CONTRACTS/IH/1600/02 and dated the 9/7/02.
The date of Commencement of Mobilisation for temporary works, construction plant and
facilities shall be not more than Thirty (30) calendar days from the Effective Date.
The date of commencement of the WORKS shall be not more than Sixty (60) calendar
days from the Effective Date.
The completion period of the WORKS shall be (28) Twenty Eight months from the
effective date.
The completion period for the first 65.3km (from Swuweihat to Grain Al Ayesh in Lot A)
shall be 18 months. However, in this situation the site shall remain the responsibility of
the CONTRACTOR.
The Guarantee period shall be (24) Twenty Four months from the successful completion
of the project and the issuance of the PAC.
All the above durations shall be from the effective date and shall include mobilisation and
commencement of the WORKS.
The date for completion of warranty period shall be 24 calendar months from the date of
issue of the last PROVISIONAL ACCEPTANCE CERTIFICATE (PAC)
The handing over of the SITE to the CONTRACTOR shall be arranged within the
mobilisation period indicated in Clause 1.1 above.
2. OVERALL SCHEDULE
2.1 CONTRACTOR(S) shall be required to prepare and submit for ADWEA approval, in the
form of a bar chart, his anticipated schedule covering the various areas and activities
required to complete the WORKS. This schedule shall take due account of ADWEA
information provided elsewhere in the CONTRACT Enquiry Documents.
The schedule provided shall be sufficiently detailed to clearly indicate the following:
• mobilisation period and activities
• Commencement of WORKS
• Completion of WORKS
• Interim milestones (as stipulated by ADWEA)
• Delivery date to site of major items of plant
• Order dates, delivery periods and delivery dates for major material items
• Order dates, delivery periods and delivery dates for major equipment items
• A clear and comprehensive activity breakdown
• Separate activity breakdowns for different work locations
• Identify the critical path
• Identify sub-contracted activities separately by individual SUB-CONTRACTOR (if
any)
CONTRACTOR(S) shall be required to prepare and submit for ADWEA approval his Labour
Histograms anticipated for the duration of the WORKS indicating:
a) SITE Staff & Supervision Numbers and discipline together with duration of
requirements for each Lot.
CONTRACTOR(s) shall ensure and provide details for availability of adequate number of qualified
personnel to cover essential requirements throughout the whole relevant project duration such as,
but not limited to;
• Detailed engineering;
• Procurement, expediting and storage personnel;
• Health and safety personnel;
• QA/QC personnel;
• Pre-commissioning and Commissioning and handover personnel;
• Guarantee Period.
The CONTRACTOR shall perform all project engineering and procurement activities through their
own dedicated team operating solely from the office located in Abu Dhabi city. This team shall
have one focal person reporting to the appropriate higher authority within the project organisation.
4.1 ADWEA at its sole discretion shall ask at any time for changes in CONTRACTOR'S
anticipated work sequence due to operational requirements. Such change in work
sequence shall not entitle CONTRACTOR(S) to any additional reimbursement.
4.2 CONTRACTOR(S) shall submit for ADWEA approval a schedule of materials that shall
be utilised for the execution of the WORKS. This information shall be submitted with full
identification of specific Manufacturer's products together with their catalogues.
4.3 CONTRACTOR(S) shall submit for ADWEA approval a list of equipment, machinery and
tools which shall be utilised for the WORKS. CONTRACTOR to identify those equipment,
machinery and tools in his possession and those that will be procured for project
execution. Also the CONTRACTOR shall provide major equipment histogram for each
Lot with the number of each equipment to be used.
Note 1: Refer to item 2.41 – Procedures, Special Conditions, for CONTRACTOR's input on
procedures.
Note 2: In view of high volume of equipment and materials required for the WORKS,
CONTRACTOR is requested to pay special emphasis to the source and logistics of
same, and to elaborate within the above requested procedures providing figures where
appropriate, in order to reflect their full understanding.
In the case of any conflict between the scope of works and the CONTRACTORs work plan then
the scope of works shall prevail, unless ADWEA specifically agrees otherwise in writing.
