Worldview Impacts
“Forming your worldview by relying on the media would be like forming your view about me
by looking only at a picture of my foot.”-Hans Rosling. When you think about a worldview you might
just think about what is popular and that it is no big deal, but your worldview not only shapes our world,
but our understanding on how you act and think. It is important to have a biblical worldview because it
determines your view of the world, especially in the topics of theology, philosophy, and biology. A
biblical worldview proves that God not only exists, but he is involved in our world. Our biblical
worldview shows how to know what is true. It also proves that there is an intelligent designer behind the
God exists in our everyday life and is involved because he cares for us. You might say
miracles only happen in history, but nothing like that happens now and that God is no longer with us.
Deuteronomy 31:6 says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for
the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” God never leaves us. God
shows us that he is involved in our world through special and general revelation. General revelation is
God’s communication to humanity through nature, our heart, and mind. We all have a conscience,
which is God’s Holy Spirit telling us what to do. He is involved by telling us what to do. Special
revelation is God’s communication to us through himself, his will, particular people, his word, and Jesus
Christ. God can call certain people to lead, preach, and do other things for his glory.. God is also
involved in our personal lives by helping guide us to know what is true and what isn’t.
What is true? You might find yourself asking this when deciding or justifying your actions.
There are multiple misinterpretations of truth. According to Lightbearers, “Truth is based off a thought,
statement, or belief that correctly reflects our world.” Truth is not just what you personally believe or
your opinion. If I sincerely believe two plus two is five doesn’t make it true. A way you can know what
is true through authority, intuition, reason, and personal experiences. Through authority wise people can
help you understand what is true. The perfect example of this is God. Intuition is a God given human

conscience commonly known as in the Christian world as the Holy Spirit. John 16:33 states, “But when
he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will
speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.” The Holy Spirit is a form of special
revelation. Through reason we can understand something is completely unreasonable. Nobody needs to
tell you that killing a person is bad, it is just reasonable. Personal experience gives us wisdom to figure
out if something is true. If we do something wrong, we know that we shouldn’t do it again. The last is
you can figure out if something is true is to look around you. If someone asks you about anything in the
world, you can look around you and at nature with logic and figure out there is an intelligent designer.
Contrary to the popular worldview about evolution and that everything was made by chance,
biblical shows that our universe can’t happen by mere chance but by an intelligent designer. Abiogenies
is when life comes from nonliving matter. A single cell cannot survive in the vacuum of space. If
something exploded a perfect, complicated car with all the tiny details of the engine can’t magically
appear it is impossible. Order cannot come from utter chaos it has to come from a higher being who
knows how everything works to make everything. Design theory is a theory that holds certain features
of the universe and of living things are best explained by an intelligent cause. A perfect example of this
is the human eye. Think about how detailed an eye is, if it did not have all its parts it cannot function
properly. The eye could not have developed because it needed all its parts to survive. God made it,
knowing how it needed to work and knowing that it needed all of its parts to work. Colossians 1:16
explains, “For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible,
whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for
him.”
A Christian worldview impacts many areas of your life on a personal and worldly level. It
impacts your view on theology, philosophy, and biology in your everyday life. Through a Biblical
worldview you know that is there a God who is the one and only intelligent designer who created
everything. God not only made us, he cares for us and helps us to know what is true and what isn’t so

that you can live your life to your fullest potential and to His glory. It is crucial to have to have a biblical
worldview as John 8:32 says, “Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.”
