Family Tree Project (Version 1) Mi árbol familiar

In this chapter, we’ve learned how to talk about the immediate members of your family, as well as how to tell how old
someone is. For your project, I want to learn more about your family. You may use actual pictures, pictures from the Internet,
or draw your own pictures.

In terms of displaying your family, you may use a poster, create a PowerPoint, or a different media of your choice. If you are
going to do something other than the PowerPoint or poster board, however, please let me know so I can approve it. We will
have two days in class to work on this and the project itself will be due at the beginning of class on ______________________.

You must have the following information in your project:

1. You must include grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers and sisters, and yourself. If you wish, you
may add other relatives (great-grandparents, nieces and nephews, etc.) as well.
2. You must include a picture to represent each family member.
3. You must also include your relatives’ names. You can do this below the pictures. It must be in Spanish.
4. You must write a description of each family member. Include at least 2 physical characteristics and at least 2
personality traits in Spanish.
5. You must write the ages of your family members, in Spanish. You must write out your numbers in words (i.e.,
“treinta y dos” instead of “32”) in your description.
6. You must include the birthday of each family member in Spanish in your description. For the date, you must write
out the number in words (i.e. “trece” instead of “13”).

This project will be worth 70 points and will be an assessment grade. 55 points will be based off of the correct use of Spanish
and 15 points will be for creativity and neatness. I will be looking closely at the correct use of the family vocabulary, the correct
use of your possessive adjectives (either “mi” or “mis”), your use of adjectives and whether or not you agreed your nouns and
adjectives, correct use of the verb “tener” to express age, and correct use of numbers. Please use your notes as a resource!

If you have any questions while you are working on your project, please e-mail me. My e-mail is ________________________.
If you are doing the PowerPoint, you may send your project to me through e-mail as well. If you want me to look over what
you have written, send it to me. I will mark the mistakes, but I will not correct them for you. If you do not have the project on
