This document consists of the IPERF Commands to resolve issues with TEMS and
LLDM and to make sure to get best efficient output.

For XP OS laptop:
This is settings are effective for XP OS with SP3.
To better results make sure the following changes are made in the Windows Registry.

Windows XP SP2 and SP3: High Priority:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\SERVICES\AFD\PARAMETERS
DefaultReceiveWindow ffff0
DefaultsendWindow 7fff8

All Versions of Windows XP; Low Priority on SP2 and SP3.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\SERVICES\Tcpip\PARAMETE
RS
GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize ffff0
TcpWindowSize ffff0
TcpMaxDupAcks 3
Tcp1323Opts 1
SackOpts 1
EnablePMTUDiscovery 1

The DefaultReceiveWindow attribute overrides GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize and

TcpWindowSize.

To optimize Vista/Windows 7.

Use the following commands in Command Prompt (Administrator) to optimize the TCP
downlink conditions.
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
netsh int tcp set global chimney=enabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal
netsh int tcp set global congestionprovider=ctcp
netsh int tcp set global ecncapability=default
netsh int tcp set global timestamps=disabled
To return to the default settings of a command prompt as an administrator do the
following changes.

netsh int tcp set heuristics default

netsh int tcp set global rss=default
netsh int tcp set global chimney=default
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal
netsh int tcp set global congestionprovider=default
netsh int tcp set global ecncapability=default
netsh int tcp set global timestamps=default

To adjust your MTU settings:

This command is used to verify the MTU settings in your Command Prompt.

netsh interface ipv4 show interfaces

To set the desire value of the network connection we need to the change the MTU value
using the following commands.

netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface “The Name of your connection(ID number which is
obtained from above command.)” mtu=1360 store=persistent.

Desired value for MTU can be 1360 or 1460.

Settings and Installations for IPERF commands on your system

Before starting the testing using IPERF make sure your IPERF directory is saved in the
default location of your command prompt.

Example:

If your default command prompt opens with the command as

C:\User\User>

Save your file in this particular directory.

Following commands are used to execute the different test cases used
for LTE site verification, benchmarking and Cluster drives.

For site benchmarking:

Telnet Setup:
ftp site: 172.26.35.82
User: testftp
Password: test123

If you are using Windows 7 operating system make sure you disable drivers
signatures enforcement by using following instructions.
Once you power on the system hit F7 until you see the window popping up with
name of the operating system been used on the system, hit F8 once you see the window.
Now select the option “Disable driver’s signature enforcement” and hit enter.

Note:
Since LTE is completely new to me I tried my best to get all the information
required for this LTE project in one document, before anyone has any doubts, I would
recommend them to try first on www.google.com or any search engine or www.fci.org
(official government website). This might help me out in adding if anything necessary
in the document and learn some new technologies regarding this.
